Would be surprised by Michigan or Minnesota (but not shocked). Could see Stanford but I don't think he's visited there. I expect ND.

Neither did Noor Davis when he committed to Stanford. I think you're correct though.

He is Irish! 100% for sure. Just left South Bend today and committed before he left.

Notre Dame lands Cretin-Derham Hall back James Onwualu - TwinCities.com

Irish Illustrated ‏ @NDatRivals

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, James Onwualu has committed to Notre Dame and will formally announce his decision Thursday.

"Each time I visited Notre Dame, the pull became stronger,'' Onwualu said. "When I visited other schools, I kept comparing them to Notre Dame.''

"Players from Cretin-Derham Hall have had a rich tradition of success at Notre Dame,'' Onwualu said. "I am really excited about playing there in the future.''

This is awesome but why can't people wait until this kid announces unless he specifically told them to go ahead and print.

Congrats to James!!!!!!!!

#NotreDame received commitment from WR James Onwualu. On the phone with I'm now. "Notre Dame was a strong school all the way for me."

Sounds like he didn't care if they told.

ran a 4.53 electrically timed 40 at a Under Armour combine on Dec. 31, 2011. Also had a 34 inch vertical and a 4.39 shuttle. Impressive numbers for a HS Junior.

does this affect/relate at all to Ty Issac?

may seem like a dumb question but they are very similair, same size and build

Onwualu is a natural reciever with ability to play RB
Issac is a natural running back with ability to play WR

Having both would be nice since they are so similiar in my opinion

I don't think we would turn away Ty Issac until we are maxed out (and then we still might make room).
