So Jr. Day has come and gone? How come we only still have one 2013 commit? I thought it was supposed to rain up in here?

I'm Calling it now. Jaylon Smith commits at the spring game.
Skunkbears need to hold onto all of those guys, good luck, Urban will flip a few.
New staffs for Michigan, and OSU. People are excited. Playing time card is getting thrown to those recruits a lot. It's normal. As for us. Winning is the only answer to a superb class.
Going to be hard to flip a few if they aren't allowed to take visits to other schools per Hoke's rules for committed players.
In regards to everyone getting their panties in a bunch, I'm with OMM on this one. We are on par with ND recruiting. There is always going to be some other team that comes out of the gate fast and we are going to look at them with jealousy and want. Why would you be jealous of UM? We are ND and we are in serious contention with a whole bunch of very solid and highly ranked recruits. Over the next 11 MONTHS, a lot can happen.
And remember, if UM fills up it's class by summer (like they are on pace to do), they won't be in contention for the 4-5* recruits that wait until NSD, giving us the leg up on out annual UM v ND battles.
Where do we stand with Alquadin Muhammad? Any chance Elijah can help us out there?

We didn't get a bunch of recruits just because Kelly signed up. We didn't lose any, but there certainly wasn't the same buzz.
Also, Tim Tebow.

To his defense, he didn't have any national championships under his belt, he came from Cincinnati, and only had 3 stellar seasons at Cinci (I know that was his whole tenure there). As opposed to Urban, who came from Florida, has a few recent NCs and has a track record of 6 seasons of success at a top tier, SEC school. That might be why Urban had such a buzz and Kelly's wasn't as much.

It makes you wonder how OSU closes the deal with Urban Meyer(with sanctions looming), Alabama gets Nick Saban while Notre Dame has to settle for guys like Kelly from Cincinatti, Charlie Weis or Tyrone Willingham?

Urban Meyer's "methods" wouldn't fly at Notre Dame and that is why the interest lacked, mutually. Urban may have once dreamt of coaching at ND but I'm sure that dream died along side his dream of being ethical.
Brian Kelly was and is the best choice for re-building this program the right way.
They didn't settle for anyone. Pull your head out of your ***.
