Apparently after Gary Patterson heard about the bust. He ordered a pop drug test for all football players.

Ty Horn and Tanner Brock stated in their arrest affidavit that only 20 players would pass a drug test.

I take up for Notre Dame on TCU's forums so I'll do the same on this one..for starters it is called Fort Worth. Secondly, as naive as fans are about their schools, they all have pot smokers/pill poppers that suit up and represent them on the field. Coach Patterson caught wind of the investigation and assisted in finding the source. If you will recall last year that TCU is the only school in the nation that runs criminal reports on their recruits before offering a scholarship. The players have already been removed from the roster and I have confidence in CP to maintain the integrity of the program. As we all know the media is going to blow every little rumor into something that's absurd leaving a bad taste in my mouth and the rest of the TCU family. All I ask is that before ranting about the situation, you take the time to get your facts straight. This post is not directed at anyone that has posted thus far, but towards the future post that follow.

So when he paid $200 he got over 15 grams and when he paid 220 he only got 13 something. 14 grams is half ounce. Sounds like he got a deal and dude realized it so he snubbed him the next time.

TCU Police Chief Steve McGee said the students were considered drug dealers, selling cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana and prescription drugs to undercover officers both on and off campus.

Damn!! Other than me thinking that there is no reason for marijuana to be illegal....this is pretty hardcore stuff and really, really stupid. Cocaine?! Are you kidding me?!

Ok. Dealing drugs is more serious than smoking/popping, agreed?

Absolutely, the two that were dealing should (and hopefully will) be expelled and kicked off the team for good. No room for that in college sports. The two that were caught for just smoking need to be suspended indefinitely. Apparently, they were caught smoking at Tanner Brock's house but were never caught dealing.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that this is coming from Texas "Christian" University...just saying.

Not technically a religious institution..don't have to attend chapel and such. Pushed for a name change 2 decades ago but one of the main donors said that she would refuse to give the school anymore money if such a thing happened.

WHAT!!!! That's practically their whole team!! Good grief wonder what GP is gonna do if that is true.
If anyone has aspirations of playing college ball and still have some eligibility TCU may be looking for some players for next season.

There isn't a college sports team in the country without a few players that would fail a **** test. 82 seems crazy to me, but that aside I don't think this reflects poorly on the school or the program. The players that were dealing/caught using should be embarrassed, though.

Too bad Whitney Houston can't give the team a lecture on why "crack is whack".

I do applaud Patterson for taking steps to see how widespread this is/was.

Just heard on the Jim Rome Show that 5 players tested positve and 11 had trace amounts. Can't find an article to back it up other than one on SB Nation so TIFWIW. If true that is a far cry from 82.

Report: five Frogs tested positive for marijuana - CBSSports.com

But after the embarrassment of Wednesday's headlines and the details found in the police affidavits, Thursday's report -- if accurate -- puts the ratio of Frogs using marijuana (4.9 percent) at a rate far lower than the accepted ratio of total college students who use marijuana, and should be one for Patterson to be thankful for.

Only 5? I would have thought that the average college football team would have between 15 and 25. So this isn't a big deal at all anymore. Good.

The culprits have been booted, and Patterson went on a mission to find the source instead of burying his head in the sand like alot of coaches would. If anything, I respect TCU even more after reading this.
