He was at my high school the other day doing some recruiting. I was walking by and I said hi to him. He seemed like a really nice guy, asked me how school was going and stuff.

Urban doesn't keep me up at night, but I won't apologize for being turned off by his antics.
He has a very powerful personality and a very eloquent way of presenting himself. He's always talking about the right thing, in very convincing ways. But I always hated the fact that he always talked about the "Florida way" even as his players were in constant trouble and he continued to recruit kids that were obviously going to cause trouble.
Even so, I didn't think he was truly "one of a kind" until the antics surrounding his retirement...
-which was first attributed to his health
-which was followed by a speech about how he had actually retired to put family first...
-which was followed by his returning to the Gators a week later...
-which was followed and hitting the recruiting trail hard and promising the recruits that he was going to stay part of the Florida family...
-which was followed by a sudden change of tune and reevaluation shortly after NSD (leaving behind a lot of angry confused kids who did not sign up for Will Muschamp)...
-which was followed by months of railing about the ills of college football on TV
- which was followed by his getting hired on at OSU and somehow getting permission to be a full-time recruiter even though the program was on probation
I think he left Florida because it was spiraling out of control, as exemplified in the incident where a star player got arrested passed out in a car at a stop light the week before the huge Alabama game.

When a few asked for an App to be offered for the iPhone or Android, someone suggested trying it. Today is ly first attempt. It simplifies the site and makes it easier for mobile users to read and post thru their phone instead of a computer. It's $2 at the app store.

There is no one more upset at the return of Urban Meyer to college football than Lane Kiffin. With the return of Meyer, Lane Kiffin has to give back the moniker of 'biggest scumbag in CFB", a title Kiffin only inherited after Urban Meyer retired.

Now that I can't answer, I'm still trying to figure it out. It's set up to run any forum that allows it, and IE put in the code to allow. Everytime I click the app any thread with a post more recent than my last visit appears. When I click on it it opens right where I left off. You can also go thru each part of the board individually. But so far I can go to the bank, bet, or give reps on it. If there is a way, someone please explain.

Based on my look at Urban (and Saban), I think he is a sociopath...I see no evidence of empathy for anyone...(and no not all sociopaths are killers)...I see a guy who absolutley loves to manipulate. Sure coaches can be thought of as master manipulators...but there is a difference between motivation and manipulation. Motivation is where someone else's success is the design...Manipulation can look very similar, especially from a coach...but the residue of manipulation are the bodies left behind by the program, and his conduct outside the role of coach....anybody buy the last 2 years of the guy's life story as told by him????
I think the man lies when the truth sounds better...I mean hell, could you blame him for bolting from FL? It would have been easy to say, I gotta take a break...no promises. So why all the BS? Because he lives to manipulate you...the only way that happens is if he lies...He lies to generate an opportunity to mind dork you...just tellin ya...I think the guy is BAD NEWS...rather I'm an ND fan or not...My kids wouldn't get within 100 miles of that guy.
Oh an ancillary...he and the popcorn farter Gee are PERFECT for each other...PERFECT!

My problem with Meyer is simply that he shows no qualms or remorse about lying. And he encourages kids (see: Omar Hunter, Justin Trattou, etc.) to be deceitful as well. He's a very bad person and bad influence but markets himself as "religious" and "caring"... can't stand hypocrites.
