You may be right... I had a pro baseball try-out with the Royals. Didn't go as well as I'd like. Ended up D-3. He was destroyed and fell off the wagon all hopped up on strawberry smoothies. Poor guy.

Things are looking up. you should see his grandson.................................... :)

Your nephew? Flowing locks? Any relation to Trinity's nefew? Sorry it didn't work out w the Royals, you probably would have put them over their cap number. Anyway, psyched to have Gunner (you know, to stay on topic).

That Luginbill answer indicates to me that he's playing amateur psychologist about the alleged "indecisiveness" which is not his business and clearly out of his area of expertise. Such a statement is the product of a mediocre mind, which has lost its bearings and has begun to think that it's an expert on anything which blurps out of it.

Anyone with any human social intelligence reading Mr. Kiel's comments about the recruiting saga, and the fact that his son is a quiet person not wanting a lot of hullaballoo around, would see the alleged "indecisiveness" as perfectly normal and having nothing to do with playing quarterback --- which, like all athletic excellence, takes place in a rather unconscious "zone" of animal flow once the play begins. Hard to believe that Luginbill, who allegedly was an athlete himself, doesn't remember that.

Yeah I considered questioning his answer but figured it wouldn't do me any good anyway so I left it alone. Weird to read his evaluation in the lsu commitment blurb and then read that reasoning two weeks later.

Can you paraphrase what he said in the LSU commitment blurb?

Luginbill's response to me asking for some explanation as to why he dropped Kiel that far this late...

Tom Luginbill @TomLuginbill

So...basically didn't answer the question at all.

Is he trying to say that his indecisive actions lead them to believe he has non physical issues, or the fact he chose ND means be must be mental.

Yeah, except it also says that Mike Shula works in a Perkins in Mobile, Alabama.

Damn... I want Perkins now. Something we don't have in Georgia (except for the one in Savannah).

I check ESPN's recruiting but I don't put much stock into it. Luginbill is mad.

Sounds like a veiled reference to the garbage about depth charts, competitiveness, decisiveness, etc. Which, in reality, comes down to "we don't like where he decided to enroll." Which means, of course, our criticism of their evaluation process is not without merit.

Reps. Your post wasn't on my page when I had opened it up. Insert comment about great minds here.

I just couldn't picture this kid at LSU or anywhere in the SEC the whole time. I thought even Indiana was a better fit. Glad we have him on our side though!

That was the funniest "article" I've read in my entire life.
Could not be a more blatant lsu fan that is butthurt.

Apparently we can't PICTURE him at Notre Dame either. We've been trying to get a photo of him on campus for a week now.

That's one of the most one-sided, ignorant articles I've ever written.

This is what I was asking about.

Haha, *read, my bad. Freudian slip as my life-long goal has been to write for BR (insert italics where necessary).
