Some seed will fall on rocky soil.

I personally have a little girl just like the one in the movie. She loves to dance.

I assume you're too young to have a daughter of your own.

Eye of the beholder. Rotten tomatoes gave it a 2 out of 5. I didn't read the review.

Guys, I wouldn't ask any of you to see a movie with a $20k budget if the intent wasn't there.

If you happen to come across the movie, and no other movie appeals, then please do rent it.

There are no Hollywood special effects.

But I'm certain it's annointed.

I did NOT judge the movie, JK. I looked it up and found what I posted for people to draw their own conclusions. I like quite a few movies that RT doesn't and vice versa.

Thanks for the heads up.

For me it was like a cop tv show that's bad crossed with a religon infomercial.

Doesn't sound like its for me then. Only way it could be worse than combining those two things would be if there were marginally famous people trying to get off drugs incorporated somehow. As always, I do respect everyone else's right to enjoy whatever works for them, so if you do like the film, no hard feelings.

Best movie I ever saw, I'm currently engaged and it helped showed me how to be a better man now and father in the future.

Compared to the CGI driven, plotless, no character evolution crap that passes for "good movies" these days Courageous was one of the better movies I have seen in a long time...

it is a Christian movie... if that turns you off, then not for you probably... and if you're one who thinks sex, drugs and killing is fine so long as no one mentions Christ... then it's definately not a film for you... to each their own....

I personally left this movie shaken... literally... touched me on a deep level...

again, one of the better films I have seen in a long while... even overlooking the religion angle... it promotes strong ehtics, morality and fatherhood... pretty obvious our society could use more promotion of all of these currently.

Definitely an impressionable movie. I can understand why some wouldn't like it.

I can assure you that if I was watching it at night I wouldn't of given it more than30 mins, but I had it on the office TV throughout the day and became engulfed by lunch. The story is amazing and really hit home for me.

Maybe not for everybody but definitely a must see just to formulate your own opinion.

jskillz thanks for promoting the movie...I no longer watch rated R movies much anymore. They are not like they were 10 or 20 years ago. I even get embarrassed when I do rent one to watch with my wife and the first line in the movie is..."you F*cking douche bag" or to that degree. Not this movie though! Really hit home being a Father and husband and it was a feel good movie that even non-believers could really grasp. The one thing that gets to me though is that you post it on this site, as a recommendation, and people come on to just say..."not my cup of tea"....why would you even spend a second to type that response? Anyways, thanks again jskillz for the heads up

Calidomer:

Some people don't enjoy religiously based anything.

There is a lot of "Antichrist" spirit in the world today. Just as the bible spoke of the times.

You will be accused of being fanatical and over-the-top, yet they are fighting the good fight by rising up and challenging your every witness, or chance to speak the truth...

Welcome to the year of our lord, 2012.

amen to that....we were just talking about how you can say God all you want but once the name Jesus is spoken people freak out!

Just a thought....if were on an Irish blog with fellow Irish fans...why would people bash a religious feel good movie on how to be a good husband and good father and one that is tied into to Jesus Christ??? The same Touch Down Jesus Christ our beloved Notre Dame stands for? I could see that happening on a U$C site but not the Irish...stay classy
