I think I'd rather have Agholor than Shaq. We already have 2 solid safety prospects and Tee at corner with one more likely to come. We run a spread offense which we really havent gotten to see yet. Imagine Gunner tossing the ball around with DGB, Agholar, Chris Brown and Ferguson running around the field like mad men.

I'd literally give up championships for every team I like in every sport for the rest of my life to witness as an adult(born in 1980), just once, Notre Dame Football win a National Championship.

Our two best S recruits are SSs, and one is likely to end up at DOLB.

FS is a real need for us. Motta doesn't have the instincts for it, and Slaughter's better suited for SS; I personally think Slaughter holds down FS in 2012 out of necessity.

Behind Slaughter is Hardy, who-- while very talented-- is coming off a serious knee injury. We have no idea if he'll recover completely. Then we've got two 3:s: commits in Prosise and Turner. I'm optimistic about Prosise, but Turner's a real project.

Shaq could realistically start at FS for us in Dublin. He's that good.

Agholor might start day 1 as well, but the gap in quality between Daniels, Greenberry, Russell, etc. and him isn't nearly as large as it is with Shaq and our other options at FS.

Well the Yankees have spoiled me and hopefully my GMEN will give me another this year.. But, ND is... yes, you guessed it.. at the top of my list.

Where the hell has Trinity been throughout all this??

That all made so much sense that I'm not even going to argue you. I'm now on board with Shaq>Agholor. I can't wait to see the day that a ND secondary could actually be scary.

Then as a loyal Red Sox fan I too will give up championships for your favorite teams for the rest of your adult life to see the Irish win a championship.

What do you guys think about Treggs? He said he was solid with Cal after Tosh left but once his WR coach left, his tweet was "no comment".

And where does he stack up against agholor?

Agholor is better, but if you offered me a Treggs commit tomorrow v. a 50/50 shot at Agholor on NSD, I'd take Treggs in a heartbeat.

Just watched my first tape on Shaq Thompson. He is sooooo good. He shows hi explosiveness on offense. IDK what his 40 time is but I'd assume it's like 4.45 which is phenomenal for a guy that's 6'2" and already 210 pounds. He is physical. Has Prosise esque ball skills. Pretty much the perfect FS. I also think he could be a beast as a slot receiver based off his offensive highlights.

Treggs is definitely below Agholor. If he'd want to come I'd take him if we have room and missed on Agholor and Neal.

Neal and Agholor aren't committing until NSD or later. Passing on Treggs for a shot at the Neal/ Agholor lottery strikes me as a very bad idea.

if we get the two Armsteads then we only have 3 more spots - doesn't seem enough for who we could get. If they don't come then with 5 spots we may not fill them with elite prospect. It is very finely balanced.

I would like to see another really highly rayed OT brought in.

"Bigger than Agholor" seems to be the sticking point here. Shaq is the only recruit we've even got a remote shot at who could be considered bigger than Agholor, imho.

Edit: Marshall would count, too, but I really don't see that happening. Especially not with 7 RBs on the roster currently.

To be clear, I DO NOT think it's Marshall. However, if I may play devil's advocate- Atkinson, Riddick and Russell could easily be moved to WR, making PLENTY of room for KM in the backfield. Plus, let's not forget that there are no guarantees about Roberson.

What do you guys think about Treggs? He said he was solid with Cal after Tosh left but once his WR coach left, his tweet was "no comment".

Somewhere around his knees to mid-thigh area. Treggs = very good. Agholor = instant playmaker.

So, who is left on the radar? I promised my wife a few years ago I would not watch recruiting until after the middle of January so I am behind! :)

What if bigger was meant literally like as in size?

This is what I was thinking. Armstead Bros. and Joshua Garnett would fit that bill and take this class to a new level. I also believe the hurdle we cleared with Darby had to do w Gunner coming on board. I bet he feels like we needed a trigger man (pun intended) to have a chance to be elite and we got one with Gunner. Just my theory, love all this smoke it just means there has to be some fire. Love this staff, Go Irish.
