He is down to 3 school: USC, Stanford, and Notre Dame. Each recruiting him in a different position

USC: OT
Standford: TE
ND: DE

What what I have read, his does not have the frame to be an OT. Sounds like Stanford is his leader.

He would be a great fit for the Irish

This one is a tough call...being that he is a Cali kid and you throw in the Harbough factor I have a hard time seeing him leave the state.

i dont think stanfords being honest with him just telling him what he wants to hear. 6'7" with that frame your no TE lets be honest. you become a first round LT. and i dont think were just saying DE, i believe if he is that good of an athlete kelly will see where he belongs and he'll excel at that position

you are probably dead on!!! just like urban liar telling prestwood @ 6-6 280 that he could be a tight end.

Rudolph is 6-6 and about 265 or so and I don't see anyone telling him he needs to be a LT.

Yeah, I remember Rudolph came in at about 250 or so from HS. I get it. I'm just not going to tell a kid he needs to be a LT just cause he's 6-7. Get it?

The only measurables that I see on him are 6-7, 240, how is that any different than what Rudolph came in at? Also 4.7 40 time, if true, not exactly LT numbers.

You both don't get it. In all seriousness, he could play OT, TE, or DE, so the argument is pretty unwinnable (thats probably not a word) for either of you two. With the way Stanford pounds the ball, Harbaugh's probably is all about getting an oversized TE to open up some more running lanes. VT had that TE Greg Boone a couple years back who weighed like 280. Wouldn't shock me to see him playing either of the three positions in a couple years regardless of where he goes or what position he is initially being recruited for.

rivals right??? do you understand all the stats are prior to the players senior season check out some other sites most recent 265 lbs. by the time he trains in a college program he can be up to 285lbs.

exactly stanford was lining up back up tackles at the TE position, so what put a # 80 on the kid and have him block...... hes still a tackle doesnt matter if hes lined up in the TE postion... he has to potential to be so much more..... thats his bleek future at stanford a tackle in a 80 somthing jersey...... yey

I wasn't trying to win anything-just playing devils advocate. Until he commits, nobody has any idea what position he will play. Not to mention we have a few kids with his measurables already in the mix with Carrico and Springman.

Every year someone says that and are proved wrong.

They Told Gaffney he would be a RB and he is

Leuders was told OLB and he is

Niklas can be a really good TE in college and Harbaugh loves big TE that can block

ultimately Troy will (and should) pick a school that lets him have a shot at playing what position he wants to play---BTW: to date has Troy said what position he wants to play---is he on the record saying "I want to be a ___"?"

i think he is a big Stanford lean right now so this may all be moot---but consider what could transpire betwen now and NSD at Stanford---potential for Harbaugh gone/no idea who HC is going to be/Polian might be gone/Stanford could get hammered in the Orange Bowl---therefore i give us a shot here---his visit---if he makes it---combined with events listed---could bode well for us.

BEAST!

BEAST!

This kid is a stud and a BIG time need for us...saw him play this weekend for the State title and this kid is a BEAST! The best part about the game (since they lost) was watching them walk out of the tunnel to the sounds of a bagpipe that gave me goosebumps! Could be a monster DE alongside Tuitt!

A monster? A beast? What game were you watching because he barely got any penetration at all on De La Salle oline.

Sorry If Im not into bashing ND recruits...but not all recruits win or excel in each game. De La Sal is obviously the better team, and have been in California for years.

While he might not of been a beast in the game, he did make some good plays. He's a big kid and more athletic than I thought.

If I am De La Sal, Im keying on this kid and gameplanning around his game, which they did. That is what you want from a recruit. Now, I remember during the year when Niklas intercepted a pass from Max Wittek (USC Verbal) for a touchdown to win the game.

How am I bashing him? Using the State Title game was not the best example of him being a "beast". Should have said this a week ago when he pretty much dominated the oline of Mission Viejo in the PAC-5 CIF game.

My bad fellow "Domer" but i wasnt using the title game to validate Troy being a monster. If you read the post, it says I was watching the game and I enjoyed the entrance with the bagpipes. Never once said he tore it up in the game. thank you though for being a "watch dog"

Every scouting agency reports that Niklas hates interviews and has remained quiet since announcing his visits. He hasn't given a leader and hasn't given much of anything right now.

I bet he does hate it. Everyone and their brother always trying to find out what you are going to do. I bet it does get old.
