Tech played in a BCS game last year
That is true, but the ACC is getting better. Also, those players where Chan Gailey's recruits. Paul Johnson can't recruit the way Gailey did, because of the system he runs. Look a Ga Tech team this year and I don't see them improving.

There is a difference between good and great. Is Tuitt going to be an engineer? Because if not GT really isn't that good of a school. They don't even have a business school, just a school of management (although the facility is pretty sweet). And there are like 0 chicks there.

Great grad school though for sure though depending on your EG discipline.

haha I remember the ratio when I was down there taking a look was something outrageous like 7:1 guys to girls. But they kept stressing that there are lots of hot women in Atlanta and there is another school (Georgia State?) right by the campus.

EDIT: Looks like it is only 8:3 now. That's not too terrible... but still a sausage fest.

people that are laughing at GT like they shouldn't be a threat need a lesson in recent history... GT has a very solid program... nothing to laugh at, especially considering what ND has done recently.

I don't think anyone is taking them lightly. Pardon us all for not acting like the sky is falling for once.

I'd much rather be up against GT than Auburn, so this is a victory. He already picked us over GT, whereas Auburn hadn't been a big player at first. This is only good news.

Agreed. ND hasn't had much to boast about lately.

I would rather go against Auburn at this point because they came out of nowhere and they are recruiting him for a position he doesnt play. GT was his early favorite and it's his local school. Local media and friends can convince you of anything if they stay on you long enough (Miles Shuler). GT deserves its respect.

It's just a wait and see game for us. It would be nice to get Tuitt on campus one more time before NSD.

Sigh of relief, sounds like this guy wants to reassure his commitment and i would say this is really good for us. With that said...

GT was the early favorite, its near his home, Johnson is a really good coach and he WILL win. It isn't over yet. Lets just hope that Kelly can seal the deal in January and end any future talks of a visit

I'm still in amazement over on th II board about his trips. I'm glad he's taking these last few trips to make sure of his lifelong decision. Good for him.

Didn't see this posted. About his auburn visit and ND
“As of right now, I’m not interested in Auburn,” Tuitt said. “The visit went well. I had a good time at the school. The players were great and the coaches were great, but as for me playing for them, I don’t see that happening.”

Auburn was one of the schools Tuitt had on his final list before selecting Notre Dame. After taking another look at the Auburn program, he still feels that Notre Dame has more to offer him in the long run.

“For Notre Dame, it’s the feeling that I had when I went on my visit,” he explained. “I know what Notre Dame has to offer for the years to come. I really thought about it, and I think Notre Dame has more to offer me that Auburn does. It’s everything about the school (Notre Dame).”

GTech might not have chicks, but you should see these girls in Atlanta! Also Atlanta ratio is like 8 girls for every 2 guys.

Wherever Tuitt ends up he's got my support just for saying 'in the long run Notre Dame has more to offer'. That speaks volumes for these young men when considering their 40 year committment. I'll take it one step further and say to these young men- you should see how the great Notre Dame players of the past are treated when returning to campus and halftime ceremonies honoring their time under the Golden Dome. Its regal in its feel. Go Irish!

And let's be honest... Nobody comes to South Bend because of the women.

Forgive me for saying so, but I was impressed. I lived in Utah where hot chicks are like a dime a dozen and flaunting some nerdy lookin' dude in a pre-arranged marriage of sorts.

Notre Dame has girls prepped for success. BTW, an 8 with a future and intentions of becoming something blows a 10+ with nothing but leach-like abilities out of the water any day of the week.

Unfortunately most men that age do not think about the future as much as they think about the present.
