I am going to the Sun Bowl and I am wondering if anyone knows where Notre Dame players are staying, or where many of the fans will be staying.

Thanks

I know the Fudruckers off of Mesa St. (major exit off the 10) has Buffalo burgers cooked with New Mexico green chili...

no better burger.

;)

as far as hotels, there is a group of them right near the convention center, not too far from campus... and they have shuttles running all the time to stadium...

look for something in that area (Near the Convention Center/Downtown)... El Paso is freakin huge area wise (and I'm from LA basically) and some lodging may be very far from campus and in more "questionable" areas.

I feel like I should be a lot more help on this question, since I'm
currently sitting in a hotel room in El Paso. But, I'm not!

I live in Tucson and work for the railroad. Bring a train from Tucson
and spend the night in a hotel, then I take another train home.

UTEP is on the westside of "downtown". I'm in a Laquinta Inn off of Mesa St.,
right off of I-10. UTEP is about 7 minutes east of here on I-10.
Mesa St. is Exit 11 on I-10.

Just for your info...within very short walking distance of where I'm currently
sitting...........

Cracker Barrel restaraunt (I can spit into their parking lot)
Wal-Mart
Golden Corral (buffet style restaraunt) 5min walk
Famous Daves ( bbq decent food and a bar)
Chilis
Fuddruckers
Wendys
Diamond Shamrock (gas station/convenient store)
Pei Wei (really good asian food)

Now given all you may,or may not, have heard about El Paso
this is a really decent, and I feel, safe part of town. Can't speak for any
other part of town.

other hotels at this exit are...
LaQuinta Inn (where I stay)
LaQuinta Inn & Suites (across Mesa St)
Travellodge (We used to stay there...like it better here @LaQuinta)
EconoLodge Inn and Suites (share a parking lot)
Comfort Suites
Motel 6
Days Inn
Red Roof Inn
Springhill Suites by Marriott

the very best I can tell you is a lot of these hotels addresses are not "MesaSt"
if your interested, when making reservations or inquiries, these will be listed as
LaQuinta"west" and so on.

I tell you all this because it is only what I know
the stadium is on the westside of El Paso and so am I.

hope all of this was helpful.

The Radisson is where the team headquarters is located. I'd assume that means the team is staying there as well. The fan fiesta is at the convention center downtown the day before.
I'm staying at the la quinta on remcon circle. I assume there will be ND fans in every hotel, but if there are other fans staying at the same la quinta, how about a ND party the night before?
We'll be tailgating somewhere the next morning near the stadium. It'd be cool to meet some people before tailgating in order to get a party going
