Damn what are they selling there. Because i have a feeling that when coaches start getting fired next year Stoops is going to be high on alot of teams list.

There's a lot to love about FSU for an 18 yr old kid, so there's a lot to sell. Not sure what this has to do with Agholar anyway, because he plays offense and Stoops coaches defense.

As for Agholar, I'm seriously thinking he's a silent commit to USC. Their Rivals mod alluded to having 2 or 3 silent commits, and i wouldn't be surprised if one were Agholar. I don't see him liking FSU as much as ND, FL or USC. ND seems to be in the rearview mirror (sadly), and USC gets his last visit and everything we've previously discussed in this thread points to him wanting to be a Trogan. Hope not though...

A silent commit is a kid who commits to a school without letting the press know, just the coaches will know. This is either so the kid can "reserve" a spot on the team or just possibly for the team to build momentum at a later time.

Oh, I know, I was being a bit facetious. Seems like USC people in particular are always talking about "silent commits." At one point a few weeks back I believe Shepard and Greenberry were being described that way.
We've had ours, too, Shumate in the days leading up to the All-American Bowl, for instance. But, frankly, lots of people aren't really "committed" - as we've seen this week - and those are the kids who are quite public about their plans. So I'm not sure how much weight to give rumors of a "silent" commitment.
And in this case, with less than three weeks to Signing Day and a stud like Agholor, if he's going to USC why not just say so?

i agree 100%.. what was the magic # for schollies this year? 22? if so, with 16 committed right now, I don't know if we get to 22 (we don't have to, we could offer more 5th years, but I'd personally like to see young talent get the spots instead of 5th years.. you never know which 3* kid could break out and be a stud like Justin Blackmon)

Didn't Miles already eliminate ND? I think the wise move would be to go all-in on Garnett, not that we necessarily aren't already.

Conventional wisdom has been, throughout his recruitment, that he will wait until NSD. I have been trying to find info on Alford's visit, but have not. Anyone out there have any idea?

It cant hurt. As I posted very early on in this thread, Nelson has always said SC is his dream school. He also loved his FL visit. To outsiders it looks like a SC FL battle with ND somewhere involved. Nelson refuses to even tell her what he's thinking or where hes leaning but I dont think he would have come without Gunner IMO. I think hell end up at Florida, and for whatever reason I just cant see him at SC, maybe because when I met him he seemed like one of the nicest recruits I've ever met, and just didnt fit the SC mold...
