Hiestand has been UT's OL coach since 2010. UT's rushing attack improved from 89th in 2010 to 53rd in 2011 during his tenure there.

He was the OL coach for the Bears from 2005-2010. The Bears' rushing attack was ranked 16th, 11th, 32nd, 26th, 30th, and 19th over that period (there are 32 NFL teams).

No opinion about the OL coach,,, but If ND ever had a friend in the SEC historically, it would be UT. Not sure about the need to stick it to them. Would love to see us add them back to the schedule! Now I would love to stick it to LSU, Bama, UGA, Florida, or Auburn..

And Nick Saban was 15-17 as an NFL coach, yet has done fairly well in college. Same with Pete Carroll, who's 47-49 as an NFL coach.

Pat Ruel IMO is a much better coach and a much better recruitier.
