I want kids that want to be at Notre Dame too, but don't front... losing Darby would be devastating. I would wish him well, but it would be a crushing blow to lose him.

There has been a ton of rumors on him over the span of his recruitment, and none of them have came to fruition. So I will sit back and stay calm. He has been committed to Notre Dame for a long time.

Note to Bang Bang members, please refrain from negative comments and make sure to to blast anyone else that chooses to do so on that page. Represent our fanbase with some class, please.

Wooly...I requested to re-join the group to give them a piece of my mind about what they are saying in light of all thats happening...Some of the a**holes on that page are a prime example of why he may have left and/or questioned his commitment...He a while back was visibly upset with the crap Tee and Deontay were getting for making visits to USC...If you all feel it's best not to say anything to them, I'll step off the ledge, but these fanboys need to be put in their place...my goodness! *rant over*

Now's not a time to be ridiculing Ronald. It's a time for us to be showing our appreciation of him and emphasizing his importance to this class and the university.

not suprised good luck to Darby. Would love to have him though.

How are yout not surprised? aren't you the one on here who was talking to him about 2 weeks ago and said we had nothing to worry about?

This would sting but rumors have been out there for months. Please be calm and stay in wait and see mode. Long way to go till February 1st.

So who's going to be the first idiot to try to justify this by suggesting that we are better off without him?

Very dissappointing. I am very curious to learn why. If he doesn't come back, I hope it works out for him.

I really hope we can find a way to get his signature on NSD. I guess i'm just a jerk but i can't even possibly fathom wishing a kid well who would pick FSU or Clemson over Notre Dame unless they were his dream or home school.

Sapp is also reporting he got word that Darby could have decommitted...still looking for confirmation though. Oh well, life goes on. Im sure the staff will be on him one way or the other til signing day.

Screw that. I don't want to hear any "bring on ____" bs. This is horrifying. Of course we will go on, that is obvious, but we will go on without one of the best recruits in the country. He is that "SEC Speed" that people say we can't get.

Other fanbases consistently said that we wouldn't be able to close with Darby, and guess what.. they were right.

fu(c)k!!!!!

Wowzers. This sucks big time, any rampant and wild speculation on why?

This is a loss. No doubt. If we get Wright or Poole which seems likely that we get at least one the loss is not nearly as bad.

It is a little odd to me that he would completely remove ND from consideration considering like a week ago he said he was 100% committed.

I try not to get invested in recruits, but this one I was. This hurts us bad. Hopefully we are still in consideration and get another shot.
