Bro, He's actually a mythical recruiting creature from another dimension. He doesn't figure out where recruits are going they ask him where to go.....

Straight.

And now is not the time lol. Im not into stealing the kids moment or starting rumors to only have a "social media" outburst on them on twitter and facebook lol.
On NSD you will be very entertained with this class by the potential that it will hold from top to bottom. If ND can sign Nelson or Davonte all the pieces are there for 2013 run

If its Arik, I will freak.
haha I'm so funny it rhymes

Neal hasn't even talked to Urban yet. He hasn't scheduled an OSU visit either.

"You're" dammit, not "your" in this construct.

Delete all this extraneous crap. It has little if anything to do with Mr. Neal.

A little consistency, if you please.

Davonte looks to be really impressing on both sides of the ball. If this kid was two inches taller the recruiting websites would have him at 5 stars for sure.

His dad is kind of handling his reruitment and wont be going to him for Ohio State visit. I think we have dad in are corner and according to Sampson we will be only staff to visit him during the Under Armor game.

To add:

TJ34 said that there are some "hurdles" left to clear in this race, but we are in good position.

Link to awesome article on Neal by Jamie Newberg at ESPN.
Davonte Neal shows off versatility, switches sides at Under Armour All-America Game - ESPN

The article is really to long to post the whole thing, but the most interesting quote was speculating that it's possible that he could wait till after signing day to make a decision in order to get all of his visits in:

With one visit in the books and two more slated, that gives Neal only one open weekend for an official visit before national signing day on Feb. 1. There's a good chance Neal will make his fifth and final visit the weekend after signing day -- which will prolong his decision.

Won't ND's roster be full by then? I always have trouble wrapping my head around the scholarship numbers game. To me, 85 is 85. How do you "make room" if Davonte picks ND and there are already 85 players on the roster? I know what the Alabama's of the world do, but I can't see ND oversigning only to later cut a player.

I'm not saying that this would be the case, but 5th years are decided after NSD, no? If so, we wouldn't be "cutting" anybody, just losing one of our 5th year guys.

Wooly, could you take a look at the Who's Likely Next thread? I didn't want to go astray in Davonte's thread so I asked a similar question in that thread.

When I asked about the roster being full, that was taking into consideration someone's mention of there being about six spots left. I assumed that took into account our "locked" 5th years (Cave, Slaughter, KLM). Maybe I'm wrong, and we have more wiggle room than that. I honestly don't know.

I would have to dig deeper to know for sure on the 5th year numbers, but in Notre Dame's case, that is the only place I could see the spot coming from. We aren't going to cut any guys like USC or the SEC.

I will make this comment though. I said earlier in the season that I think weirder things have happened than not returning KLM. I was obviously flamed and bashed for it, but I still feel that way today. I'm not saying that he isn't important to our team or that I think he should go. Quite the contrary. But I still wouldn't be shocked if when the numbers came down, if he was left in the cold. We are a young team with a lot of DL talent, and Kelly has made it very clear that he wants "his guys". I love KLM and I am sure Kelly does too, but I could easily see him not returning if it meant we got a guy like Neal or Armstead. We aren't going to drop a guy for just anybody, but if a special talent is available, I have a feeling that we would make the move.

Just my opinion though.
