IF, and thats a big if, he does jump ship. We have a lot of o-linemen. I would be more worried if we were thin at that position. We still have Prestwood, he could be considered to be in this recruiting class

Anyone know how many schollies Ohio State has left to offer? I show them at 19 commits so I am wondering when their reduction starts and by how many?

They self-imposed some reduction that I believe was supposed to start this year. But with the COI's ruling and adding to the number, I'm not sure.

I believe OSU has flexibility in their limit on scholarships. I believe they can impose them at any time and any amount over the next 3 years.

In the end, its a 17-18 yr old kid making a decision where he will go to college...and it is one maybe two recruits. Hardly any reason for "panic". Life goes on one way or another and no one recruit is going to make or break a program.

Sapp asked Taylor about his commitment to ND.

He stated he would have to talk to his parents. Martin tried calling him apparently. Martin has the potential to hold it together...

I think he will...and I would hope that we are recruiting kids that want to come to ND for the sake of coming to ND...not because of a position coach. This is not Joe Moore that we lost. I trust Martin can keep it together.

I have been only half paying attention... is it a dead period right now???

If so who the hell knows how that will impact things...

In reality I have never seen a Notre Dame recruiting year that didn't have a 'big player' flip to some other school... it's going to happen with at least ONE of our current guys.

Was that position coach or head coach? I read it initially as head coach, but I was never certain.

I don't think that's entirely the case. He developed a relationship with the guy who would have coached him. It's only natural to reevaluate the decision at this point. I hope he sticks.
