Huge fan of Fuller's but I want him as a athlete that would get a shot at QB rather than recruiting him as an outright QB.

Kid is one of the most explosive players with the ball in his hands in the country...at any position. I didnt know if we would recruit him as a QB, but I have wondered all along why CB and not our slot guy.

Wouldn't it be a double nut shot if we went in and poached a position coach that is recruiting Fuller and Westerkamp? I mean after all, we are in need of a replacement for Molnar.

I wish Fuller wasn't set on being a QB, but I understand that's where he loves to play. The kid is a straight up stud! Get him anyway we can!

IF we get this kid, I want him to have the ball in his hands every play and the quarterback is the only player to get the ball every play. He is VERY explosive with the ball, passing and running. Give Kelly a year or 2 so he can coach him up and he will an absolute nightmare for every defense.

He is a Denard that can throw the ball

I don't think he has the quite the speed Denard has but anyways.

I have a serious question. It seems like the staff waits to talk to these kids that grew up Notre Dame fans. Fuller said he grew up an ND fan and we are now really starting to recruit him. Then you have Westerkamp who's family is big Irish fans and we wait to jump in late. Is it just a coincidence that we are falling back on these guys or is it the fact that we feel that since Notre Dame might be the kids dream school we can wait to recruit them? It might be a stupid theory just something I noticed.

Fuller is going to be a beast.

I was also wondering similar to that.... Do we have a decent shot at this kid? I know we just s tarted to show some serious interest, and it is kind of late in the game, but id DEFFFFF want this kid on the field for us somewhere

It appears that Molnar wasn't too high on either Westerkamp or Fuller (as a QB). He left and the staff offered Westerkamp and expressed interest in Fuller as a qb which is what he wants to play. We may just be lucky that they, or their families, happen to be fans of ND.

just saw this, don't usually follow the ATH recruits for whatever reason but saw him mentioned in another thread, reminds me a lot of DR, his arm needs ALOT of work, but Longo's conditioning and BKs coaching could help that out. This guy would be a great get if "you know who" decides to go south.

I'll take Fuller any day of the week. When you have an offer list like that, you don't pass on a kid. For this offense Fuller and Kiel or neck and neck. He can play QB because you don't need the 6'4 QB in college. Kelly is here to win college games. I'll take the 6'0- 6'1 kid for college purposes only. They win games and they cover up other deficiencies that the team may have. As long as you have a good defense you are almost guaranteed 10 wins.

Arm strength? Yeah I'll agree with you there.

Finesse? Eh, he seems to put the ball where it needs to be and throws a decent fade route in his highlight tape.

Motion? I'd need to watch more tape to give a better evaluation. But from what I've seen, his motion is fairly compact. He doesn't have the exaggerated motion Tebow had entering the pros.

In Kelly's offense, he won't need to air it out deep a lot. He'll need to do it enough to make teams respect his legs and his arm. I like him a lot for the QB position.

Can we get both? Running the ball he actually does remind me of Denard. He looks like a better passer though.

I'd prefer Fuller at WR though. Maybe RB if he bulks up some. Then maybe throw him a wildcat package to QB in. He looks like a game changer for sure though. And those were just his junior tapes...

I don't have any complaints about arm strength. In his highlight he is rolling out to the right and slings the ball ~40 yds with ease

have to agree with above......kid seems to have plenty of arm strength just needs to be harnessed and refined a bit. I honestly think that in the end this kid could be the best QB available for our system. Too bad we can't have them both.
