Receiving interest from the staff
Powell Hoping To Impress Irish

Not a strong offer list at this point but is receving interest from Arizona, Auburn, California, Florida, Nebraska, UCLA, and USC as well.

Notre Dame came to my school when we were having spring ball,” said the Nevada running back. “I believe it was the running back coach (Tim Hinton) who talked to my coach and told him that I am very high on their list and they’re thinking about taking three running backs this year. They told him they’re going to go back and watch my film and then they'll see how I do in this camp coming up in Fresno. If I do well there, they said I could possibly get an offer right on the spot.

I think that I read that Ronnie Stanley (OT) was scheduled to visit ND for the USC game. Maybe Ronnie can bring his teammate Shaq Powell with him on the visit

He looks funny in his Rivals profile photo.

Bishop G is ranked by SI.com in their Preseason poll as the 6th team in the nation. Their opponent, Scottsdale Chapparal, won state for the last two years in Arizona in the second largest division, 5A. Chapparal has Conor Brewer and Davonte Neal, was ranked #20 in the same preseason poll.

"Bishop Gorman continually ran Powell to the left side, behind 6-foot-6, 280-pound tackle Ronnie Stanley.

Powell even added an interception on defense after his fifth touchdown of the game.

Meanwhile, Chaparral's biggest offensive threat, senior receiver Davonte' Neal, was never a factor until it was too late."

Doing pretty solid against #9 Armwood right now on ESPN2. Not a total burner but he is well built and quick through the holes. Reminds me Remound Wright... who is still waiting on his offer....

For a guy with his measurables he is pretty physical. I think BP would have more points on the board if he had more than 12 carries.

Him and David Smith are two players who I think could get late offers if we fail to pick up one of our remaining RB targets.

This guy just got moved into the latest Rivals 250. So, he is now a four star recruit and also was named Nevada player of the year by ESPN. With ND losing out on Marshall and recruiting his teammate, wondering if ND gets in the mix with this kid???

I think they had damn well better.....if we end up with only 1 RB recruit this cycle, we've got issues.

But we just moved 2 WRs to RB. And neither are the power RB that Mahone is.

Wood
Riddick
Atkinson
Roberson (God willing)
McDaniel
Mahone

RB is not the issue it was 2 months ago.

Riddick was for Stanford only if I am correct. So Wood, Atkinson, McDaniel, Robberson, Mahone. Wood is the only proven back. We need another guy for future. BAD!

News flash: none of these high school studs are "proven" either.

I don't know how you can flip him when he hasn't even been offered.
