Let me just elaborate a little bit more on the situation and say that a lot of people here simply do not understand how good of a fit what is being presented to him by ND basketball and the 3-4 DE position he would play are for Arik.

There is also a lot more to this that I cannot share for truly legitimate reasons. But suffice to say we are a very real player here and stay tuned for the next week or so. And I'll leave you with this retweet from Arik:

Mind you, he is also taking the time to make this tweet while visiting Cal and I have not seen him make one tweet about Cal today.

PS. I did share the reason for my optimism with NDinLA (because he is a trustworthy mod type who I trust to use common sense) and I think he will vouch that I'm at the very least being logical here in both my reasons for optimism and my reasons for not putting it on blast. With that being said, he still thinks Arik isn't coming to South Bend LOL. So take everything I'm saying with a grain of salt. I just want people to know that we're a player.

Now c'mon Urbie, come out of the closet and show your true colors. I already had to erase most of your posts last night before you started a riot; you look like a major troll but are concealing it just enough to not get banned. So c'mon out and show your true colors. We all know what a lying POS you really are - just come out and admit it that you'll do ANYTHING to win, including recruiting (and later harboring) criminals and lying to recruits and their families in order to sign them. We'd love to hear all the stories. Spill it bro...

You're right, I don't have a source. But all signs point to either Cal/USC. And I'll bet every single v-buck I have against just 1 v-buck of yours. Send me the bet because I never mess with the v-bucks and don't know how to do that stuff. That's 40,000+ to 1 odds, but I'm going to get that 1 v-buck ;)

We could land a couple guys this weekend. I think we end up with 2-3 guys that visited over the weekend could become Irish by signing day. Just my opinion. Doesnt mean "im hearing things".

This^^^.Its been nearly 3 months and with a bunch of kids that have already visited all season not a good sign.I'm really starting to believe we don't get anyone else.None of the recuits seemed to be blown away with there visits (none committed recruits).

Laughable. When you are in play for elite recruits, then a lot of times you need to wait until signing day or after the all-star games. This is very normal, as we loaded up early and now are waiting on elite players. And elite players can afford to wait until they are good and ready to commit.

Or would you rather a lowly ranked 3 star commit to us just to satisfy some spoiled fans' desires?

Some of you guys either need to follow recruiting a lot closer or just sit by and not offer up any words because a couple of these posts are made from either a very ignorant view or a very spoiled view...

There's been a lot of positive news. You just have to listen for it or read about it. It's all there on many threads. Has someone committed? No. But check our commitment list - it's nice. Now we're just waiting on some big names to drop, and big names usually drop late in the process. Just because no one has committed doesn't mean that progress hasn't been made and that we won't get anyone to commit. That is about as ridiculous as you can get.

Go read through some recruits' threads, and you'll see lots of positive news...

Repeat of earlier information: last year we went from october to the end of december with only one commit in between. This "ain't quite yet the season to be jolly".
