I think Braxton Miller is our best friend in this case that kid will be there and start for at least 3 yrs so if depth chart and playing time is an issue then we should be good.

They were talking about LSU where there is absolutely potential early playing time for Gunner.

Jefferson and Lee both have one more year of eligibility and Mettenberger is a soph.

Both are done after this year. They have Mettenberger and Austin Rivers as active QB's on the roster.

What follows is a brief comparison of the value offered by ND, Vandy and LSU to their football players.

Graduation Success Rate for Football Players:
ND- 97% (1st in BCS*)
Vandy- 86% (9th in BCS)
LSU- 77% (17th in BCS)

30 year Return for Graduates:
ND- $1,623,900 (2nd in BCS)
Vandy- $1,196,200 (8th in BCS)
LSU- $816,500 (42nd in BCS)

Expected 30 year Return for Football Players:
ND- $1,575,183 (2nd in BCS)
Vandy- $1,028,732 (5th in BCS)
LSU- $628,705 (28th in BCS)

ND offers 50% more value than Vandy and ~3x more value than LSU to its football players.

*Rankings compare only schools with football programs in AQ conferences and schools that have made recent BCS appearances. There are a total of 70 schools ranked, so 35th is the median.

JC Schurbert mentioned this morning on the Bill King Show that LSU is the largest obstacle for ND at this point. Vandy is nice, but not a serious player at this point. With the distance factor, ND should be the winner.

Who knows, but this is one recruitment that had my scratching my head numerous times and I will be relieved if/when he decideds on ND.

I noticed we're the only school on that list with a higher GSR for black football players (100%) than white football players (93%).

Does anyone else feel like he just doesn't want to come here? I think he likes Notre Dame but I feel like he is looking for something "better". I don't have a good feeling, hopefully I'm wrong. I would love to see him put a gold helmet on.

I guess it is a good sign that his last official is to ND. I just don't know. Maybe I just feel like nothing can go right.

we are the two negative Nancy's tonight.

Don't want to be but it looks like it:wave:. I say this because some LSU fans feel very good about there chances with him. I feel much like you if he was going to commit he would have done it. I hope I am wrong.

He's doing what he said he was going to do. 247 says he had a very good trip to LSU but it didn't put them over ND.

He took an unofficial to LSU with his parents and now an official visit with his parents again. Maybe with how BK has handled the QB situation here is swaying Kiel away. Anyways, Kiel is suppose to visit ND again so we do get the last visit which is always a plus.

His dad also hung out and watched LSU practice. We get last visit though.
