Hinton is a good fit at Ohio State because those are his roots

He seems like a GREAT guy, and a good coach, so I hope he stays, but not a big deal if he does not. Ohio recruiting is going to be near impossible whether he is here or not.

I wonder if it would mean Alford to RBs and getting a new WR coach?

Seems like a no brainer to me if Hinton is in fact gone.

Ohio recruiting near impossible?? With our ties to Cincinnati? I don't get it.

There we go. Alford back to RB's. And for WR coach? Rob Ianello is looking for a job :)

Haha...he was banned when we were winning and morale was great. He got pissy b/c I had the nerve to merge one of his threads w/ another of the exact same ilk, saying he was trying to start a 'series' here and that I was ruining it LOL. He also got into it with another member and didn't stop even when being warned. And there was more.

But keep believing in your conspiracy theories LOL.

You mean the post in which you admitted that you trolled here? Yeah, case closed. And 'ran away'? Child please. I was done with you, and quite frankly I have better things to do with my time than argue with banned troll. Plus you had already hijacked that thread so why pursue it?

And nah, I ain't mad brah...just laughing at a guy that talked sh!t about this place and its members and a mod but yet is working on his 4th username here, begging to come back to a place he hates (especially funny cause there's 10 other Irish sites you can post on).

I think you're the mad one 'bro'...

and go after our recruits in the 11th hour.

Um, have you seen the recruits he's landed? Jarrett Grace would be the only possible starter recruited by Hinton.

Having said that, I do like how the RB's have improved under his coaching.

I like the fact that our running game has improved, but I don't see this as a big deal. Bring in a RB coach that can get us an NFL back before Ryan Grant retires.

I hope this does not happen... We need consistency with the program. If he does go I hope BK goes after the either a top notch WR coach or RB coach, possibly moving Alford back to RB coach. Or try to get Jeff Quinn from Buffalo.

Have I mentioned how I cannot stand O$U or Meyer. He is the biggest wanker!

I'm not sure anybody has mentioned this, but it is Coach Kelly's policy to remove a staff member if he looks at/for a job elsewhere.

If the job isn't upgrade. If it a person going rb coach to rb coach Kelly will show you the door.

I believe Kelly put it like this, nothing wrong with trying to better yourself and move up. But if you are just leaving to fill the same position elsewhere you better hope you get it. Because you will be out of a job at ND.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that Meyer won't be making Hinton one of his coordinators, which would make this a horizontal move for Hinton.

He'll likely burn bridges in South Bend if he opts to make that move.

I think the writing is obviously on the wall. All these in home visit updates keep coming out and Hinton has yet to be mentioned as visiting any recruits.

I don't mean to hate on Alford, but I'd prefer him with RBs than WRs.

Not sure what kind of coaches they'd be but I bet it would help recruiting...

5:s: mom "Honey, a Tim Brown and .... Rocket? Ismail are here to see you."

5:s: kid "Siiiiiiiiick"

I don't think it'd have quite the recruiting appeal you think it would. These kids were born after most of these guys were great. Remember Ishaq last year? Had no idea who Lawrence Taylor even was.

OSU fans must be and should be ecstatic about this.

Word is that Scout is confirming Hinton is gone, but since I don't think anyone here has access, we will just have to wait a bit longer.

How many times has Urban turned down ND? I wonder if we hung on to old Chuck a couple years longer if he'd have listened more this time.

Urban's one bad dude. Came in and won a title with someone else's recruits, then took his own recruits and did it all over again.

Maybe I'm nuts but what about hiring someone Dave Wansedt (sp?). NFL tires and has produced 3 NFL backs while at Pitt. But anyways someone with ties to NFL to replace him if you ask me.

I don't think a coach goes from a HC to a RB coach in one years time unless he shoots a puppy on live tv.

We need to nail this hire because it is killing our recruitment of KM and Russell.
