FSU and we better be ready to play!! No inside info just seems to make sense per the Acc standings and a great matchup for the Champs Bowl.

Its the 3rd pick from the remaining ACC teams eligible. Not the 3rd place team.

Is it guaranteed we play in the Champs Sports Bowl?
I'm not very familiar with the bowl process. Is there a better bowl we can get into? Or is that the closest to BCS?
Also, any idea when it will be officially announced? And when would the practices start?
I cant wait to see how Hendrix progresses towards the bowl game...I have a feeling it's going to be a big win if our Oline can give him at least a little protection.

If Clemson loses ACC championship game Va Tech goes BCS and Clemson will go to Champs because Auburn is in Chick Fil A and they already played. FSU to chick Fil a then.If Clemson wins we play FSU

It's not 100% but pretty close that Notre Dame will be headed to the Champs Sports Bowl. It is the closest ND can get to a BCS Bowl from what I have seen. Before the bowls realigned who qualifies to which bowl. ND would be headed to the Gator Bowl which sounds a lot better. But since the bowls realigned they will be headed to the Champs Bowl. If selected, which they probably will be.

I always thought the bowl selection was the Sunday after the conference championship games were played. So I would say Sunday but not a 100% sure.

How do you figure? Bowl selection is not based on conference placing.

It is very likely that the Chick fil A Bowl will take Auburn because South Carolina and Georgia will get picked up by the Capital One Bowl and Outback Bowl, Arkansas will be in the Cotton Bowl, and LSU and Bama will be in the title game.

If Auburn is in the Chick Fil A Bowl they apparently do not want a rematch of a regualr season game that took place in September wit Clemson, so if Clemson loses the ACC title game they pick second and will pick FSU, leaving the Tigers for the Champs Sports Bowl.

I think he's just assuming which bowl would pick whom based on various factors. I actually think he's right, if Clemson loses, the Chick Fil A Bowl won't want a rematch and will choose FSU (Chick Fil a having the #2 pick of ACC teams). That would leave Champs to choose between Virginia and Clemson. You have to think they would take a 9-4 Clemson ACC Championship game participant with a little National pub this year, over an 8-4 Virginia team who really didn't make any noise on the National Level.

If Clemson wins the ACC title game, the Champs Bowl would love to take FSU. So I'm pretty sure its down to FSU or Clemson.

Also, the Virginia fan base is pretty terrible in going to away games in numbers. And actually, very few ACC teams are. VT is a big exception --- their fans come en masse.

Michigan gets to play Houston in a BCS bowl.

perfect.

i know its total bs! we get the sugar bowl and face LSU, they get houston? come on man! although it would be funny to see them lose to houston.

gotta root for southern miss to beat houston this week, then maybe they will play a real team in the sugar bowl, like arkansas, maybe ok st. can jump bama in the polls if they beat oklahoma, and michigan could get bama in the sugar bowl.

OR, hope LSU loses the SEC title game. Georgia would take Michigans BCS spot, AND you'd have BCS title game featuring TWO teams who didn't win their conference (Bama/LSU). Wowza.

i saw something on espn stating that Michigan can't go to a bcs because they are ranked 16th and needed to be 14 in order to get an at large bid for BCS kind of like us...since they didn't win their conference

they might sneak into top 14 territory if georgia loses. or anyone else who is ahead of them.

I think the thought is that Wisconsin will win the B1G title game, and MSU will drop in the ratings, and Michigan will move up enough to go to the BCS...

Not impressive games. Oregon is not a BCS team.

The Sugar and Orange are terrible games.

How is Oregon not a BCS team? They went undefeated in their division and are three days away from winning their conference. The only teams Oregon would have trouble beating in those probable BCS matchups, would be LSU, Bama, and Whiskey.
