I am not sure if I will get accepted to Notre Dame, but either way, I will be out there next year. I am so excited and in the words of Bart Scott, can't wait!

Congratz man. Don't sell yourself short. I doubt had I applied that I would have got in to Holy Cross. I also was a lazy **** through most of high school. Don't be like me. Work hard and get your *** into ND where you belong!

Gotcha. I see that it is located in Notre Dame, IN. Is it formally affiliated with ND?

It is run by the Holy Cross brothers, I am pretty sure, which is the order that founded ND. Walking distance from campus, it just became a 4 year school back in the early 2000's I wanna say. Its where Rudy went haha. I might be taking the same rout as him.

Congrats! Keep that GPA up if you want to transfer and even if you don't, still a good idea to work hard. My friend from high school transferred to ND from there, as did my younger bro a few years ago. I know there's usually only a limited allotment of student tix for HCC students, so make sure you get them ASAP in the fall! Nothing matches a ND game from the student section and I have no doubt you will love it.

Just a little warning so this doesn't catch you off-guard next year, but there are a decent amount of students at ND and some at St. Mary's that will have a bit of an elitist attitude and will be condescending towards HCC students. Everyone I've known from HCC has experienced this and complained about it. Just keep your head up and ignore them because most of them are spoiled kids that are condescending to just about everyone. Congrats again and good luck next year.

Thanks man! My sister(ND '11) told me the same thing. I am prepared, and it will only be more motivation to get there if it doesn't work out for me this year.

When I tell everyone that I am either going to ND or Holy Cross, they are all like oh Worcester is a wonderful place, my cousin went there or something like that haha.

I know i probably annoy some people here, but I just had to share this.

Another bit of advice, talk to admissions counselors at ND, or any other school if you want to transfer, about what classes you should take, transfer requirements, etc. I've heard several cases of students being denied transfer because of not fulfilling requirements even though HCC told them they would be fine. The school is still in a transition from a 2-year school to a 4-year school and are having difficulties losing their best students to ND every year. Plus, getting acquainted with the admissions counselors who will be processing your transfer application can't hurt your chances. If you have any other questions about transferring, don't hesitate to ask and I will ask my bro about what he did.

As a Bucknellian, I wish you nothing but the worst of luck if you choose HC.

Nevermind, different Holy Cross. May your future be filled with money and women.

haha are you a senior this year or a junior?

Im a senior in high school. I took a visit to HC the saturday Notre Dame played Navy. I liked almost everything there, the dorms could have been better. I love the athletic facilities. I really love how you are considered a Notre Dame student and you can take classes at Notre Dame. It is right next to St.Mary's College which is an all girls school, Im sure you know what that means:eek:grin:

Since you are considered a Notre Dame student you get student discounts. You can go to every football home game for just $300 a year(thats $50 a game) and you can go to every men's bball home game for just $80 a year. All the other sports are free to get into.

I never realized there was so many seniors in high school on here. I am also applying to ND for RD and I don't have the greatest stats but I'm hoping to write astounding essays showing my interest. Good luck to you guys!

Good luck to all you. ND is my #1 and I will be honest, if I didn't have a few alumni I wouldn't have a chance. I am hoping to kill em with my essays.
