Visited for USC game. Said it was the best atmosphere he has been in. Likes Notre Dame a lot per 247.

He said in the interview that the staff indicated an offer was forthcoming.

Will be looking for these things when choosing a school:

“I will be looking at how many games the football team wins,” he said. “I also am going to be looking at if I want to leave New Jersey or not. I want to see how the coaches coach their team and how the players respond. I also want to see about the graduation rates and if they graduate their players.”

Of those 6 teams listed, we are definitely in the ball park as far as wins is concerned. And way ahead of the pack in graduation rate.

New Jersey sure does produce some athletes

I absolutely love the '13 offer list.. It also seems a lot of the top kids are really interested in ND. This class could be insane.

JC Shurburtt had this to say:

FWIW- I've seen this kid multiple times and he's the real deal. Checking with a few folks, he probably has more verbal offers at this point than he realizes.

Very good player.

Projects as a CB at the next level.

No mention of ND visits this Spring/Summer in most recent 247 update:

"I know I'm supposed to be going to visit South Carolina and North Carolina, Penn State, Virginia, Florida, Miami, Georgia and Georgia Tech during the spring and the summer."

Florida and Rutgers after him the hardest.

Damn. I liked him. We seem to be in good shape with a couple potential CBs right now but I'd still love it if his interest perked back up.

Barnwell with new offer - Football Recruiting - East Region Blog - ESPN

I can't read the full article but according to the teaser/lead he is speaking "most glowingly" about us along with Rutgers and Penn State. That is huge. Wiltfong has mentioned Barnwell, along with Jaylon Smith, as a guy who has dominated 7-on-7 events, in Barnwell's case on both offense and defense. If he still has high interest it would make me very, very happy; I had thought this ship had sailed. I don't know if he has a preference as to whether he plays offense or defense though. I believe we want him as a CB.

Wow kid looks like a STUD.

Wonder if he knows Kinlaw or Shumate.
Probably not Kinlaw as Kinlaw lives in the AC area, which is South Jersey and pretty much Phili area. Piscataway is in the middle of the state, may know Shumate as Don Bosco is an hour from there.

Ah thanks. Let's hope Shumate gets in his ear.

Yeah, I think this is a guy whose overall ranking will go way up, if he deserves half the praise he's been getting at these 7 on 7 events. I'd love to see us crank up his recruitment a little.

Rutgers has some work to do.

They have been doing a ok job lately keeping some of the high-end in state talent in NJ. 3-0 start to the year isn't bad either. It will be tough for them to ever become a power, but being a perennial conference big-shot in the Big East is not of out the question. Obviously that isn't what most programs would strive for, but I think Rutgers fans would be quite happy with that.

Yea I guess so. I have never really like Rutgers and i don't know why. But know that Greg is gone it might make me like them some more. There is alot of talent in the NJ,PA,MD,Northern Delaware and NY area that they should ever let get away. If they ever get a good recruiting coach look out they could get really good.
