Every loss cuts to my core and forces me to hit the bottle.
Hmmmm...I thought your lowest point as an Irish fan was the time you were banned under the name IrishTimer for ripping this site, its members and its mods for having the audacity to merge your thread with a preexisiting thread? You remember right Timer...how you were trying to start a 'series' on this site and how we were infringing on your God-given right to start said 'series' on IrishEnvy (even though someone already beat you to the punch).
So if you hate this site so much (remember the crap you posted about us on another site with your boy JayRockkkkkkkkkk), and you hate me and you hate several of our members...then why are you back under an assumed name?
And next time, why not just apologize for being such a prick and ask to come back instead of pretending you're new to the site?
Thank you Mods for banning Celtic. This thread is absolutely pointless in nature. We should be supporting our team during this time, not trying to think about horrible moments in our team's history. I like anyone else hate those moments, especially the '07 season, but it does us no good to try and divide our fanbase at a time like this.
With all respect, being a fan entails the high points and the low points. It's because I remember 1974 So Cal comeback that I loved beating So Cal 10 straight later on. It's because 2011 Michigan was such a gut punch, that I'm going to love it when ND rips off five straight against them starting next year. It's because I sat through Faust's last game, the humiliation against Johnson and the Hurricanes, that the National Title a few years later was so sweet. I don't see how it divides us -- seems our pain is something we have in common. It's what makes us real fans and not frontrunners. Just my opinion.....
I mostly agree with you.We have all gone through the crap together....and that makes us a family that we still love ND as much as we all do. But to come on here and make a thread to rehash our personal worst moments in our fandom is honestly ridiculous.
Being in the stands for Navy last year was pretty rough....
Losing to an 8-loss Syracuse team ranks rather high as well.
Hard to choose....
I have a few considerations here:
1993 vs BC. I cried after the game. Just wept.
2005 Bush Push. Still can't watch that game without getting sick
2003 @ Syracuse. Watching the team roll over and give up on Ty was pathetic.
2008 vs Syracuse. Senior Day loss was depressing.
2007 vs Navy. The streak ends. Just the lowest point in an awful season.
2010 @ Navy. Getting pwnt by a service academy? Bad.
2011 @ Michigan. Just a maddening frustrating loss. I disavowed Gary Gray for weeks after this one.
Wow the last decade has been rough....

Where to begin, where to begin....
The one that sticks out to me most was against BC the first year of Ty's era. 8-0 going into that game, and just got it handed to us by an AWFUL BC team. I was really young then, and wasn't as emotionally invested as I am now, but if I was, it would have hurt a whole hell of a lot more.
2001 (or 2000, I'm not sure) when Eric Crotch ran it in for a touch down in OT to give Nebraska the win. This hurt really bad because I'm from Omaha, and watched it at my dad's bar surrounded by 120 Husker fans, all of which I despised, because they get excited over beating Tennessee Chattanooga, or the Iowa School of the Blind...
And how can I not forget the Bush Push? I had tickets to an AHL game that night, and the people who were taking me and my brothers got so pissed off because I wanted to see the end of the game. Well, Leinart runs out of bounds with the clock at :00, and I don't think I had ever been more happy in my life. And then....bam. They score a touchdown and I start bawling my eyes out. Such an awful moment....

Don't recall them doing that but whatever. Nor did I ever take issue with kmoose. The only "member" I had an issue with was IrishLax. And I only ever question the mods abilities(originally) when point out I had a similar thread the year before that wasn't mergerd.how you were trying to start a 'series' on this site and how we were infringing on your God-given right to start said 'series' on IrishEnvy (even though someone already beat you to the punch).
I never once said I hated this place. So if you hate this site so much (remember the crap you posted about us on another site with your boy JayRockkkkkkkkkk),

Correction.
I never did so.
Nor did I ever say I "hated" this place. Please direct me to such comments.
I ripped your "modding abilities" when you insisted on saying JayRock and I were the same people. Which we aren't and never were.

Trolling? Yes.
Srs complaint? No.
I never once said I hated this place.
Ever.
If you have proof of it please show me.
The only thing I did was post of a picture of IrishLax's neg rep spree and say "He mad".
Never said any of that.
Tough to apologize when I get banned. How should I contact you? ESP? BTW I did PM you and did apologize and still do for trolling the site. However I have yet to hear back on it. *shrugs*
