Wow, that seems pretty messed up. It seemed that he was essentially begging ND to give him an offer, and ND held off for a long time. But, he kept showing up to ND. Finally, the staff gave him an offer after he showed that ND was the place he wanted to be.

Wow.

Edit: Oh well, he didn't fit that great into our scheme anyway. I'm not upset to lose him, just that he pulled this stunt.

Weird... earlier he had made the comment that he was made to hit people and sack QBs. [which I agree with]. I'm very surprised that LSU, or whoever it was, sees him at RB. He looked WAY better on D than O from the film I saw. Could grades have risen their ugly heads? Doesn't make good sense yet.

Would you be surprised if an SEC school told a kid what he wanted to hear to get him there, then pulled the ol' bait-n-switch once he got there? I wouldn't be.

In fairness to him, this might be the smart move. He isn't going to play RB at ND. Plus, he doesn't really fit into our defense. He is an undersized OLB (for our scheme, anyway). Yes, he is a great athlete, but he might find more success elsewhere.

Dont understand his comments bout the staff not lettin commits take visits. half our commits are takin visits. maybe both parties lost interest. never good to lose out on such a good athlete but ifeadi is a much better prospect but now goes from being a luxury to a necessity.

He's good enough to. He has more experience at OLB than a lot of the guys we are recruiting to play OLB.

I'm thinking it was because Perkins begged for a offer and got one but still looked around.

Some kids are just set on playing a certain position rather than what is best for them. James Wilder at FSU would be an absolute monster at LB but is very set on RB. At least Perkins opened up his commitment now rather than switching on NSD and really screwing us over. This is far from over and I wish the kid luck.

If I were a betting man I would bet that we dropped him. Similar to B. Marshall something just doesn't add up here. We know that ND does in fact allow you to take visits so my guess is we dropped him.

Definately raises a red flag. There are two sides to every story, and maybe most will never know what really happened. Seems like despite what David said this is a situation where both sides move on.

For all those people saying he was a South Bend kid that is just inaccurate. He is not originally from the area and has spoke to having no ties in the past.
