I know some of you are just giddy awaiting for my response on this game so....IT WAS THE JERSEYS, BAD LUCK!!!

Just kidding. But seriously, my mouth dropped when they brought those....things onto the field. Not as a bad as state's but I still didn't like them on white.

4th and 1 fake call....WTF. Horrible call. Fake FG call was good call though. This really sucks losing to these jerkoffs AGAIN, but it will bring some Michigan fans back down to earth who were predicting 12-1.

The defense played well the first half and in the 4th. The offense was non existent. Hope to God Denard is okay. Gardner is a good passer, but is not ready for the big time yet. I honestly think Gardner could be a better player than Denard with more experience. Denard is a great weapon, but I really am up in the air on his passing. He showed me nothing good today really with his passing. I really don't understand why the coaches put Gardner in as QB, when Denard wasn't even hurt.

Side Note: the late hits, 13 penalties and punching Lewan were really little brother-ish. I don't know about any other Michigan fan, but it's the way state acts, is why they're little brother to me.

I'm not. He's a great weapon...beat the heck out of us. But, he can't throw the ball.

With Gardner it looks like you'll lose some in the escapability and BIG play department but he will make up for it with a much better arm than Denard.

Bad play calling today from UM.. Denard should have been running much more, its the teams strength.

Wrs looked to be a little out of sync too.. I didnt get to watch the whole game but I did see a few dropped passes and shoddy routes.. and that hot route interception..

Mich St has had a bad reputation for dirty play as long as I have been watching football (First game I watched was 1945).
After #44 threw Robinson to the turf and disabled him, knocking him out of the game, he was getting high fives all around on the sidelines (there was a brief shot of this on TV). And the coaches were celebrating also.
Was that cheap shot on purpose? Was there a price on Robinson's head? The cheap shots on Robinson makes one wonder if there was head-hunting going on. If I were Michigan, I would make a formal complaint to the BigTen (11, 12 or whatever) commissioner.
I can't understand why that sleaze wasn't thrown out of the game.
I have no love for Michigan; I would be embarrassed and pissed-off if ND acted like that, especially the celebration on the sidelines.

That INT was on Vincent Smith, he screwed up on his route. Honestly, Denard's best passing plays I've realized have been either lobs down the field or a DB blows a play and it's a TD.

Not good. Michigan has a bye next week and then they get purdue at home.

Also dantonio not tossing gholston for that punch AND twisting Denard's facemask on the ground after a play, just speaks volumes on what kind of program they're running. And the cheap hits on players when you have the game won, is a joke. Learn how to win with some class.

What pissed me off about them throwing down Denard after the play was that I'm fairly sure I saw Denard helping up MSU players the whole game. Gholston's punch on the um o-linemen was inappropriate but not undeserved (the linemen kept pushing him down and said something to him while he was getting up).

Yeah, it's bullshit.

Whenever Manti Te'o tackled Denard, they would help each other up and give each other a pat on the helmet.

And that's why we Michigan fans (and probably many players feel this way too) value the ohio and ND rivalries more, because there is a strong hate between both teams but there is also respect between both. I'm sorry, but I can't respect a bunch of punks (state). I can't even bring myself to want ND to lose when they aren't playing Michigan anymore, because I want the rivalry to get bigger but maintain it's integrity. We have a good rivalry with (mostly from what I've seen at least) classy fans.

I will say MSU played an EXTREMELY dirty football game. Embarrassing.

If I'm UM, I don't shake hands either.

I remember watching one of Denard's interviews last year and the interviewer asked him what annoys him the most on the field. He said he hated when other players took his shoes and threw them away from him. The interviewer asked which team did it and (I'm paraphrasing) he said "everyone except ND".

After watching this game, it's clear that Kelly made a mistake in not playing Lynch and Tuitt. State's D-line disrupted UM's offense a lot and got quite a few qb hurries as well as sacks. It made the difference late in the game.

Lol wait a second here ND fans...don't we remember a Michigan player taking a shot at an ND player 3 years ago? What did the scUM fans say? It was just retaliation...as was what Gholston did, do I want ND players doing it? No, you need to be smart and know the old cliche, "2nd man always gets caught, wait a play or 2 to get your shot back" ;) The other old quote " it takes 2 to tango" i'm not going to sit here and believe Michigan didn't taunt, talk trash or get some cheaps shots in during that game, they were obviosly just smart enough to not get caught, therefore not having it displayed over and over on replay!

Isn't there an IE member with that pic of the scUM player taking that shot!?

Disregarding all that went on in this game and concentrating on what's best for Notre Dame: It is probably better for us that MSU won. Why?

1). The whole sports media believes that our loss to Michigan was a bizarre occurrence caused by ourselves much more than Michigan. Having a team who WE controlled beat them [and in many ways look better doing it throughout], supports the country's view that our loss was an anomaly; that then aids our cause for being ranked and slowly climbing the polls;

2). This loss busts a bunch of the shine off Hoke. He was creating a phony legend of being a miracle man who get Michigan back just by snapping his fingers. This is bound to help us in subtle ways in recruiting next year, and maybe even this one;

3). As BGIF points out [and I did too a long number of months ago], we need to out-win Michigan by I believe three games to take back the highest winning percentage all time. I thought that this would happen this year, but it's tough. If Michigan tailspins to 7-6 [say 7-5 and a bowl loss], we could still pull it off with 10-3.

So, "Gholston-the-Ghoul" or not, we still want Michigan to lose from our own selfish perspective.

I can be selfish. :)

My prediction 31-17. Final 28-14. Huzzah! UM against a better than tier2 D1A defense will wilt. If Robinson is hurt for the long haul, you might as well call the SS Carpathia, because the Titanic has just started taking on water. I predict losses to Illinois, OSU, PSU.

Too bad Michigan doesn't play penn state again until 2013.

Oh, I thought you meant a Michigan player taking a cheap shot on a QB. Jonas Mouton was suspended the following week for doing that.

Yes, by the BIG TEN, didn't **** Rod deny any knowledge of a punch being thrown on SUNDAY in an interview?!

Yep. He claimed that his guy was just trying to get untangled.

I guess that means Gholston has a game suspension coming to him. He'd better...
