They we really young last year, played a lot of freshmen. Looks like the experience is starting to catch on. Grobe can coach.

God damn it. Sorry! Too many windows open I guess.

Didn't mean it to like yell at people. Just put it in caps so people saw they were in the wrong thread. I did it 5 times during the game, most of the time stopping right before posting it. It happens.

the win over florida state kinda makes me nervous...should i be?

No. But was can't take them for granted either. They should be going bowling this year.

Preseason Steele listed them as #74 in power poll. He noted that they should improve upon their 3 wins of the previous season and some upsets were possible. He thinks well of Grobe.

Wake is definitely better than I'd thought they be. Boston College turning into a 3-9 type team overnight kind of balances things out a bit for ND though.

I have a problem, what do you guys think? I can get two tickets in the Wake Forest coach's seating section. The problem is I can't do anything that would indicate I'm pulling for Notre Dame. Even a subtle fist pump could get me busted, along with the coach who provided the tickets. (He's actually a friend of my niece and doesn't know me or who I pull for)

I'm not sure I could pull that off. I appreciate Wake Forest and want them to do well but I am not a fan.

So what do you think? Take the risk or stay home and scream at the TV? (I also had to promise no body paint! LOL)

So why can't you do anything to make it look like you're pulling for ND? How much trouble could you get in? lol

I'd still go. You have to be the master of your domain though.

You could always try a little method acting. Place yourself in the mind of a blue or gray haired ND fan in the stadium in SB. Sit on your hands. Don't stand up no matter what. Refuse to cheer. Demand that others sit down.

WAIT... I'm one of those "gray hairs." I know that I couldn't pull it off. What the heck – just go, let it all hang out. If you get shown the gate, then go home (or to the local bar) to scream at the television.

Just get some video if you get yer butt booted. Post it here. You'll be granted "Hero For Life" status on IE. A Bust of your likeness will sit next to those of Aunt Bea, Opie, Barney, Floyd and Bambi.

If life hands you a baited hook, you gotta cast the damn thing!

Correct.

This is the same Wake Forest team that gained a mere 63 yards rushing on 42 carries vs. Syracuse.

Haven't stopped laughing yet! That would be epic... I'm gray haired enough to pull the first option off but what fun is that?! Then I get this visual of being escorted out by the security and posting that video, that's just funny. Then I picture my 16 year old, who is a WF fan, his face frozen in disbelief as his dad is thrown out. Actually that would be pretty funny too!

I've got a month to figure this out, I've got to do this

For the fans who cannot be accomodated to standing and cheering:

We appreciate the world you have built for us whipper-snappers.

If you are able to move, it would be appreciated.

If you can yell without creating an unreasonable or unsafe rise in blood-pressure, then bring a cowbell or foghorn or just smile and cheer the best you can.

Young'uns: this is your responsibility.

That's my take.

You can stand all you want in Notre Dame Stadium during the Wake Forest game and nobody will bother you ...

The Wake Forest game is AT Wake Forest.

Spend the $15 for a WF hat. Everytime ND has a great play you jump up and throw down the hat emphatically screaming, "DID YOU SEE THAT PLAY!" "HOW LUCKY CAN THEY GET!"

Be sure to mention the ref could have called holding as you sit back down.

LOL Best. Suggestion. Ever.

This reminds of that Seinfeld episode with Elaine wearing the Baltimore cap to the Yankees game.

Well, whipper-snapper, when you can take the check book from my hand and replace it with a cowbell (don't forget the drumstick) or a foghorn, have your girl call my girl.

If my thoroughly tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic-as-hell humor is undetected, I fear that all is lost.

Sounds great. When Wood breaks off an 80 yd TD, instead of yelling "Don't Stop", I'll yell "Don't.............Stop!" :)

UND.com and WakeForestsports.com both list it as TBA. After Wake's Oct 15th game against VT ALL their remaining games are listed as TBA.

That's so annoying.

How GD hard is it to establish a game time?

If this game is at the same time as LSU-Bama I'm not gonna be a happy camper. I'll watch Notre Dame no matter who they're playing and what their record is, but that SEC matchup has Game of the Century potential.

Sounds like to me you will be hitting up the local sports bar.
