We didn't have much time to talk but according to what they are watching on film and talking about is how good Ciere Wood is. When he started talking about him he got excited and praised him like a god or something. This Purdue team thinks very highly of him. He also said that the #25 guy was good. I corrected him by saying it was Jonas Grey. That is when he got suspicious. They also think that Te'o and Lynch are also great. He said that in the film and meetings they see that Te'o is all over the field and is involved in almost every play.

After everyone found out I was a ND fan they were all mad. They all asked "How could you be a ND fan and go to Purdue? That doesn't even make sense?" Anyway, everyone around campus is pumped for this game. Everyone has been talking about this game all week long, and they think that they will beat us. When Purdue played Ohio State last year and when they play other big teams, no one really gets excited, but everyone is talking about THIS game.

Anyway, that is just some of the perspective that I have experienced around campus. GO IRISH!!

I go to Purdue too.. I don't have any football players (that I know) in my Organic, Cell, and Forensics classes..

But, I will say, today I wore an ND shirt and hat around campus and to class from 8:30-1...

And not a single person heckled me. One person gave me a "Go Irish".

I get a GO IRISH all the time on campus, but I get heckled also. I guess I wear my ND gear too much on campus. I did get heckled today, but I think that is only because Purdue plays ND.

This worries me. Confidance is everything in college football. Young men feed off it. Anytime I set foot on a football field, if the team had reservations, we probably got beat bad. There were times we were sure we would win, despite being overmatched, and those games were often 50/50 and close. If you think you'll win you've already put yourself in a good position from the start. On the other hand, if you go into a game and you're already underestimating your opponents, you can easily lose that game. I don't even need examples, but Tulsa last year would suffice, you could also throw in Syracuse a few years before that, and Boston College just about any year.

I expect this to be a closer game than people think. For Notre Dame's sake I hope they don't go into Ross Ade expecting any gimmes, there are no gimmes.

Hendrix or Golson in a spot "package" regardless of the score or quarter.

Injury reports are always interesting, but with our defense this year, my concern with opposition returning OFFENSIVE players has become less nervous. With the exception of someone like "The Denard" I don't think they care who they're playing.

Aren't we due for a major injury at this point in the season? We haven't been meeting our quota, I think by this time last year we had 3 or 4.

Ok whatever....did you guys watch GameDay just now? Corso picked us for the Fiesta Bowl against Boise.Very interesting....I don't think there's a shot we'd do it(have to run the table including Stanford.)

We are NOT going to the Fiesta Bowl. We still have 4 games we could and lose. I'm still saying we finish 7-5 or 8-4. Gator Bowl maybe or the Champs Sports Bowl or was it the Sun Bowl we played in last year? I dunno, All I know is that we won't be going to a BCS bowl.
