Cowherd this morning on ND

Listening to the show (only because Howard Stern's been running repeats) and Colin Cowerd said, when talking about ND and South Florida, that Notre Dame does not have significantly better players than the Big East teams. While I do not agree with this at all, he did mention that ND is 3-6 vs the Big East since 2004...and has lost 4 of the last 5 vs the Big East. I find that stat interesting. Brian Kelly must fix this. We really need to go undefeated this year vs the Big East.

At least Cowherd picked us to win tomorrow, 27-21.

Oh, and the douche called #3 "Michael Lloyd."

Big East seems to upset us every year..... Uconn, some below average Pitt teams, Syracuse... its frustrating but Kelly is 1-0 as a coach against them and I don't see this changing

I was thinking about where we will stand in 10 years from now. Obviously, thinking BK is the man for the job and wants to retire as ND head coach. I couldn't bring myself to actually think about my feelings for when we have a great coach for 10 years, become relevant and if we when a NC. how that next year will play out. I truly have found out how my heart sits with us right meow. I can't imagine how espn will react to us being good for 4,5,6,9 years, what Cowherd will say and the direction ND could take college football as a whole.

The last 4 losses can be chalked up to poor coaching, poor strength and conditioning, lack of depth, underclassmen having to play too early, talent being mostly within the frosh/soph classes, etc. NONE of which can be attributed to BK's teams last year or this year. I'm not dismissing the Big East or trying to make excuses for reasons ND lost those games. But the facts are that this coaching staff and this team are completely different than the previous. I'm glad Cowherd picked ND, but I feel making any kind of comparison is reaching a bit.

sorry, but like you said....those are worth while excuses. no need to defend 'em. facts are facts. we were not well coached and not prepared. it showed.

People count the Weis years because they happened. It was real life.

I think things will be totally different this year and beyond. But, until we prove it, we just have to take our medicine.

One of the things that I really dislike about Cowherd, is that he cherry picks his stats. So ND is 3-6 vs. the Big East since 2004. Whenever people talk about ND, they like to say that ND has done nothing since the National Championship in 1988 (we know that this is not true, but that's what people throw at us). So let's consider what ND has done, against the Big East, since 1988? 21-7

This is dumb. Weis had his shortcomings and I'm glad we've moved on, but I don't get the need to vilify the last guy all the time. First, Charlie bled blue and gold. Second, while he may have ultimately failed, the guy did go to two BCS bowls. It isn't like the guy went 3-9 every year. You can be happy BK is the coach, but don't be a hater.

As far as Cowherd: I am amazed that we are still concerned about what this idiot says. Just ignore him. You giving him attention is the reason he says the stupid **** that he says.

Many forget that there are how many DI teams...there are a finite number that have won a NC since 88...MATH QUIZ!

We have expectations of a NC every decade (at least), but no other school has those expectations, or at least no other school has a basis to have those expectations. Cowturd twistst that into gloom and doom, and discredit to the program...no one here is happy about the last 20 years, but as programs go, we're not what Cowturd makes us out to be...

Ya know...there are guys you hate that you ignore...but this guy...Grrrr.
