'12 MO WR Dorial Green-Beckham (Missouri Commit)

I have a good feeling about this guy should Notre Dame have double-digit wins this season. Of course, that could probably be said about many players and with a number of teams.

I just don't see what other schools have in terms of not only offerings but personal connections with his (adoptive) family.

I won't begin to say we have a shot or this that and the other but I will say he has a reason why he never committed yet. It is still early, got that, but the kid is waiting to find out where it is he truly wants to end up. That is still TBD. In our eyes, is a good thing. I like the fact that he has visited school 6 times and is yet to commit. He is missing something.

And what exactly have we done lately? They won 10 games last year and their 3 losses were to Auburn, Bama, and Ohio State (in a BCS bowl). They were better than us last year and in 09.

I just can't not say something.

We won the Sun Bowl?...It's the Sun Bowl!

Georgia, Ole Miss, and Miss St would have certainly given us fits too. Not to mention, Miss St clobbered a team we got beat by (Michigan).

We have our own QB who came out of high school rated #2 /#3 in the nation at his position. A 5:s: by both Scout and Rivals.

I don't doubt that we can be better than them this year. It's certainly a possibility, but to compare us to them last year?! You have to be joking.

They were way better than ND last year. They were a really strong team. ND did finish strong but Arkansas was really good.

I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that ND could have even competed with Arky last year. If they played in the last month of the season, Hogs still roll IMO.

Actually, I think Arkansas is his leader right now but they have not solidified the spot well enough for him to decide. He is still pretty open and wants to really get around. He's waiting to see how well Mizzou does this season as well. They are still a player. Maty Mauk was in town to throw the ball around with him last month.

Source: Friends and family. Im on the constant update hunt when I get the chance.

Also, not one person has said DGB should go to a school like ND. They think he would struggle hard. Apparently he gets quite a bit of "love" from the school. Until he says we are out I will still wish!!

Until he schedules a visit, DGB is nothing more than a mythical creature to me.

That kid is an unbelievable athlete. If he entered the draft tomorrow he'd probably go first round.

Are you kidding? He's 6'6" and built like a greek-god at 220 lbs. Oh, and by the way, he runs a 4.4. That alone is enough for Al Davis to take him in the first-round! How many college WRs would go ahead of him with his talent?

Blackmon
Floyd
Jeffery
Childs

There's a short list I'd take ahead of him.

I think he could be better than those guys someday, but fact of the matter is his body still has to fill out and he still has a lot to learn before he ever steps in the league.

If his body still has to fill out he could be the greatest WR of all time. He's already massive. He's like Moss only taller. He's got height and speed on everyone listed above. I know incdedible measurables don't always pan out but that combined with his production would make it easy for me to take him 1st round. But hey, what do I know? Nobody calls me when they're in the warroom on draft day, lol.

Lol I knew that would be taken the wrong way. I don't mean filling out as in he is going to still get taller and what not, but I'm sure everything is still adjusting to what it will be. If he is completely done growing, well...

He's also played against high school kids and that's it. For all we know, maybe he can't catch while getting hit by a NFL quality safety or corner.

I'm just saying I think there would be way too much risk involved to take this kid in the first round of the NFL draft right now.

Maybe you're right but try telling that to Al Davis! If you have 100m speed you're drafted, lol.
