I just felt my 1st earthquake tremor!

Crazy thing is that the earthquake was in Virginia, and I'm in West Virginia.

Arent these things supposed to be on the west coast? haha

5.8 earthquake just hit northern Virginia and rocked the Pentagon "violently". No word yet on possible damage. I'm in Canton, OH and was watching the BK presser and felt my chair start rocking side to side! First time I've ever experienced anything like that. Did anyone else feel it and if so how far away are you from the center?

I'm in Jersey and my office was shaking. We had to evac until the building was cleared. (which by the way is the opposite of what you are supposed to do.)

...... it was nothing. 5.8 is apparently code for "pansy quake." It was all over in under a minute. It's pathetic that they evacuated the White House and Pentagon... can't imagine how screwed we are if we ever get attacked.

Every time South Bend feels an earthquake its in the middle of the night when I am sleeping. I have felt an after shock though

Cary, NC about 200 miles directly south of the epicenter. My second floor office was shaking pretty good for quite a few seconds. USGS had it posted already by the time I Googled it five minutes later.

I never felt it and I'm in North Canton. Of course, I've been falling asleep in lecture all day so it's possible I just missed it. Pretty cool, and they say we never have earthquakes in Ohio grin:
