I believe Prestwood is visiting this weekend.

Aaron is hosting him.

Hopefully this is to finalize his transfer paperwork.

I searched around, couldn't find any info on whether Jordan is enrolled now or has been approved to enroll in the fall. I'm guessing that since he was in South Bend for a visit a couple of weeks that he is not enrolled.

Anyone heard anything new?

Nothing new. Visited campus recently and stayed with his buddy, Aaron Lynch. Given that news is so slow during the summer, you won't miss it if and when there's an update on his transfer status.

Yea, I was hoping somebody on here may have been in the admissions office and noticed Jordan's file laying on a desk with "Approved" on it. :)

Probably not, as I don't think they've had freshman enrollment yet. If I recall correctly, Prestwood enrolled early at FSU but according to Nole fans had poor grades in Tallahassee due to disenchantment. IF his college grades were lacking, I would imagine he'll come in to ND essentially as a first semester freshman. It's not like he's a sophomore of junior transferring in.

I thought he went to FSU?

He has to take summer school classes, not at ND.

He won't be on campus until the end of August if everything goes according to plan.

It's hard to believe that he was graded as a 3 star by rivals. His offer list was elite and national. I see Jordan playing out very much like Zach Martin. Give him a year to put on some good weight and he'll be a great left tackle.

For whatever reason, I think the rating is fair. To play devil's (Rivals') advocate, Prestwood played TE until his senior year. While he has the tools, Rivals felt he was just a notch below the 4-star OT level at this point. Even still, Rivals only thought 27 kids in 50 states were superior OTs prospects. Low, but fair.

The only really bad ratings, from our class last year were:

1) Everett Golson- Is Rivals projecting for college or the pros? The kid was one of the most prolific passers and winners in highschool football history. He played in the deep south and faced the #1 defensive prospect in years in the championship. 3-star? An inch is not that important.
2) George Atkinson III- did not look great at DB, a position he never played, in the AA game. Who cares! The QBs in Texas that played with him in the US game literally siad they had to adjust for his speed. He is not getting any smaller. He has junkyard dog in his bloodline (one of the meanest players in NFL history is his dad).
3) Cam McDaniel- Not saying he is going to be a superstar, but he sure looked good racking up a whole bunch of yards in Texas 5A. The safe bet would have been low 4 with qualifiers.

Honroable mention:
Jarrett Grace
Conor Hanratty
Eliar Hardy

i think rivals really do project nfl potential rather than college, which should not be the case. let the professionals scout the kids for professional potential, they need to scout for college potential.

Bingo. Gene told me the reason why the Rivals rankings are going the way they are is because they are projecting how good the player will be in the pros, not college. Langston told me he pretty much lost all trust in the Rivals rankings after seeing Lynch live at the AA and him not getting his fifth star.
