hopefully it was just simply the desire to go compete with some good players and get better...can't be upset if that's the case.

He's been an active recruiter for ND, why would he go somewhere else?
I know Justice Hayes was also an active recruiter for ND before going to Michigan, but he said it was because the coaching staff didn't give him alot of attention on his visit. Do you expect the coaching staff to ignore Darby's speed?....

Someone close to the situation thinks we have nothing to worry about. I believe him.

Thank you GB. I kept getting afraid everytime I got on I was going to see just an "offer" next to his name.

Thanks for the reassurance. I really think that this year of recruiting will be much less stresssful given the team I believe he have ready to hit the field.

Just curious, you getting this from another site, or a personal connection?

If he hasn't told the media he's committed elsewhere, I don't see any point in him, or anybody in his camp saying anything but reassuring/positive things. e.g. "There's nothing to worry about"

I remember last year when Tuitt went to GT, or when rumors were lingering about Aaron Lynch, even Lynch's own mother tried to tell us there was nothing to worry about, and we all know what happened there.

Since Darby's commitment there have been rumors about him wavering on his commitment to ND. Where there's smoke there's fire. It would be foolish at this point to call him anything more than a "Soft" verbal.

If the kid is taking official visits, he ain't committed. That's just a cold, hard fact. Darby's recruitment is far from over.

Until anyone hears anything from Darby himself, it's just senseless speculation. Unless he says that he's decommitting, he's still a verbal commitment to ND. He can go to every camp in the US for all I care, take every visit unofficial and official, until he says differently, it's just speculation by people who know nothing.

Disagree. Football and basketball seem to be the only sports where people expect kids to shut it down and not do camps/OVs after they commit to a school. I don't get it.

A commitment means that if NSD was today that a kid would sign a LOI to that school. That is all. When people start warping words and putting expectations out there things get muddled.

Any rumors of him decommitting are purely insecurity by Board members. Until we hear anything from Darby there is no point in assuming he is solid or gone. Everyone should remember that he (like Perkins, Tee, and Greenberry) mentioned he would still take visits. Everyone just needs to relax and wait for info from the young man himself.

Stopped by Clemson, Auburn and Bama. Will visit ND for the Michigan State game. That will be his only official visit and he is solid to Notre Dame. Like i said earlier nothing to worry about.

You dudes are silly. Catching up on the last few days of this thread was like watching a time bomb tick. Only to have GBdomer run in and clip the green wire, dismantling the time bomb with one second left on the clock.

Frankly.... it was exhilarating.
