Haha that's only because I'm extremely high on Korren Kirven... to me landing Day would be like striking out with the super hot girl in the bar but still ending up with her really cute friend. Certainly something to be very happy about. Day is a legit 4* and would great to add.

Also, if we land Day we can turn our full intention to the smoking hot blonde with DDs. You know,the one who just decommitted from PSU

I'm still not sure I agree with you on the Ian Williams/ close to being filled out thing.

He could easily enter 2012 at 300 lbs.+, making him an excellent candidate for NT; definitely better than Cwynar or Hafis at 285.

As I recall, Da Coach is a very knowledgeable poster who has been right about things like this a ton. I also believe that he was totally wrong on some inside info and that riled people the wrong way, and there was a lot of drama about it, and I thought he stopped posting there. Guess I was wrong. I used to read DD a lot a couple of years ago (wasn't a poster), and that's how I recall it. Anyway, hope he is right!!!

Look at it this way... Ian Williams measured in at 6'1" 320 at the NFL combine. So we can view those as his "accurate" measurements.Sheldon Day is generously listed at 6'2" 275ish. Can definitely expect him to add some weight and top out around 310 to 330 lbs. That's quite similar to Ian Williams.

He's a consensus Top 20 DT... 4* across the board. He's somewhere between 100 to 200 in national rating... which translates into something like a 4th to 7th round pick in the NFL draft. Which is basically where Ian Williams was expected to go. I think it's realistic to expect them to be similar players when you read the reviews of Sheldon. They talk about his motor and other characteristics we saw every Saturday from Ian. To put it another way... Ian was a really good college player and Day seems like he can be that kind of guy. Everyone should be thrilled if we land him and he turns out that way.

There are definitely some differences between the two as well. Without writing a novel, there is a reason Day has an offer when we (by all accounts) aren't recruiting NGs. He can also get after it at DE.
