Yeah I kind of agree with you. Everytime someone else tweets a pic of their new sleeve tattoo, my stomach turns a little bit.

Everytime I watch a video of him as well as how he dominated in the Blue and Gold game just reaffirms my belief that Aaron is destined for GREATNESS. He will have a great career at ND (multiple All American's) as well in the NFL.

"multiple All American's"

Ah Beano, remember what you did to Powlus?

Guys, while the Beano Cook comments makes me laugh. I am one of the most grounded ND fans there is. I live in Eastern PA and saw Powlus play in high school and he was a very good QB but at ND it was the wrong system for him. I never agreed with Beano's comments when he made them back then.

Aaron's motor and drive are one of a kind. Mark this date down 7/4/11 and look back on it in 4 years and you will agree then with me.

We've all been impressed with Alice's son and all look forward to Sudden Impact.

As for Powlus, wrong system(s), mulitiple OCs and QB coaches, an OL coach that resisted changing to a passing attack, and the two broken bones. Melvin Dansby noted that Powlus was the finest college QB he has ever seen until he broke his clavicle in practice right after being named the starting QB.

Back to The Beast.

That's like asking which is better peanut butter or jelly! They're both going to make each other better on the field.

This could possibly go down as the class that changed Notre Dame forever. Ishaq Stephone and Lynch are going to be great players IMO..and a lot of the other players will be good and contributing within the first 2 years

There needs to be a class for teenagers that teaches them the difference between things that are good for public consumption (and, therefore, twitter/facebook/et al.) and things that are better kept among a closed group.

This generation of kids that grew up posting their entire lives online seems to have a very weak grasp on how certain things will play outside of their own social circle.

This may be the "unpopular" opinion, but why take away a kids childhood and fun. Just because he attends ND. I remember having bottle rocket and roman candle "battles" all the time. Neither one are life threatening unless they make contact with the eye. Other than that, at least the players all hang with eachother rather than seperately.

Use more safety next time, yes, but don't take away regular and harmless fun.

This^

I wouldn't have posted it had I anticipated the flood of disapproval.

My first reaction was honestly to smile. It's good that they're doing stupid (but relatively harmless) stuff with each other; this is how freshman guys bond.

I don't think it is huge deal. I definitely would have done something like this when I was a freshman in college. But I wouldn't have told everyone with a twitter account about it, either. I just think some things are better kept private, precisely because of the type of reaction some posters on here had.

I think Kelly did a great job of recruiting kids who could bond and be a family.

I remember as a kid how my brother use to have bottle rocket wars with the kids down the street. When I was about six, the neighbors shot one that got stuck in my flip-flop and blew up. It hurt, but it wasn't that bad. I was tough little kid. :)
