I have to say, this thread to honor this man is a long time overdue.

I first encountered NDinL.A. several years ago when this place was the wild, wild West. There was no law and order and chaos reigned over this board. On several instances, NDinL.A. was the only one in my foxhole with me against an onslaught of viciousness.

Online, he is an amazing poster with a wealth of knowledge, not just about ND and college football, but with a wide range of other subjects. He can deliver his thoughts and opinions with great passion and concise thought. Many times I have watched newbies try to take him on only to go down in flames.

Recently, my wife and I had the good fortune to get together with NDinL.A. and his wife for a beer and, in all honesty, he is even cooler in person. His wife is beautiful, yes, but she is also incredibly intelligent and a great person too. I must admit I was a little leary of meeting someone in person I only knew from online, but I instantly felt like I had known him for years and years.

He was great on this board when he was "just" a regular poster schmo like me, but he is even better as a MOD. All the MODs have done a great job cleaning this place up, but NDinL.A. still isn't afraid to get down in the muck and the mire and mix it up every once in a while.

Alright, my man-crush post for NDinL.A. has gone on long enough here. My hat is off to you my brother. I look forward to sharing a brew with you again very soon. Maybe this time the crazy homeless lady won't interrupt our meal by screaming at us. My back was to her, but I knew you were watching out for me and you would have come to my rescue as you have done many times before!

Funny that you mention the chaos. I guess that is about the time I started reading this site. And I read tons of posts from way back before I registered. Seems conversations would all start out civil, then shoot straight downhill, until SoCaldomer (I think he was a mod) would have to step in and scold everyone. It actually was hilarious. I remember the NDinLA/NDMontana "debates." Good stuff.

ND and GoIrish were the first two that stuck out in my noggin. TMQ10, Bubba, JPham etc.

SirDishands of the House of Palmolive, Doctor Old Man Mike, JK, BGIF...the list goes on...Diamonds. Too much fun.
