Another tackle prospect that we aren't included in their final list?? im gonna trust that the staff knows something we don't

We have a few guys who are starving for an actionable offer from us, don't we? If that's right then I don't think we need to worry or anything.

I hope so because we seem to be missing out on some good prospects I thought we had legitimate chances of landing. I'm sure they know what they are doing but hope they have some good relationships with top players who are taking ND seriously.

all i know is the staff must feel better about some of the linemen offers they have out currently compared to other positions like DB and WR cuz i haven't seen many new O line offers lately.

Our OL recruiting is going to be more than okay.

Totally agree. There's a reason why (a) we aren't offering new guys and (b) why some who want to commit, aren't allowed to.

IMO, this is the position that ND lands a "wow" player this year be it Peat or DJ Humphries.

Or Garnett, Banner. Like TT said, with 2 solid prospects already in the fold, we are in a great position going forward in OL recruiting. Can afford to be patient while coming from a position of strength with the big fish. Love, love, love Harrell - he can play all positions on the OL at the next level, and play them very well. Look for him to possibly be our Center in the future.

Chicago (Ill.) Simeon offensive tackle Jordan Diamond is the No. 60 ranked player in the nation. The 6-foot-6, 290 pound prospect has the offers to merit the ranking. Diamond claims nearly 30 scholarship offers from Oregon, Auburn, MIchigan, Ohio State and numerous other top universities.

Oregon decided to extend an offer to Diamond. Are the Ducks being considered?

"I'm looking at Oregon just like the rest of my offers," Diamond said. "I'm getting to know the coaches a little more and I'm considering them for a visit. I know they offer me a chance to play early which is important to me."

Comfort level, depth chart and coaching stability are a few other factors Diamond is considering in his college choice.

This week he will travel to Michigan with quarterback teammate Robert Gregory. He doesn't have any other visit planned at this time.

Diamond said Wisconsin, Michigan, Auburn, Oregon, Ohio State, Iowa, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Ole Miss are a few programs showing heavy interest.

Diamond said Iowa is among five schools that would definitely make the cut, the others being Michigan, Wisconsin, Auburn and Tennessee.

As per previous posters suspicions. He is going to narrow his list down to 10, but this appears to be his"top5" with tOSU being 6th.

Looking at Michigan still feverishly going after O-Linemen after already having five verbals in that position, made me wonder about Hoke's "roster management", since we just had a discussion of that in regard to ND elsewhere.

Most rosters shoot for about 16 players designated "O-Line". Michigan has [according to the roster I read...and these players have ALL been red-shirted, so they must be scholarship athletes] two seniors [both of whom could and likely will come back next year --- maybe Molk would go pro], four juniors, four sophomores, and three freshmen. That's 13, and too light. But that's what Hoke is stuck with so he's trying to repair.

Looking at the season following, these same 13 linemen could all return. Plus, he has 5 verbals. That would put him at 18... too heavy by most standards. AND he's still trying for more [ex. the young gentleman of this thread]. 19 or 20 O-Linemen seems like poor roster management to me, though maybe he has strong feelings about de-commits or transfers.

A bit of a mystery to me, but if I were a Michigan fan I'd be at least a little puzzled why he wasn't spreading it around just a little bit more.

Most of our linemen are smaller and designed for the spread, Hoke needs to get big Wisconsin sized linemen. But that's just a guess on my part.

“Hopefully it’ll be mind-blowing,” he said. “This will be my first Notre Dame game and hopefully it’ll be one of the best games I’ve went to.”

Hopefully is right, I expect a surge of interest from recruits if this night game lives up to our potential.

It just sounds to me that he really wants to like it to convince him it would be a good place for him.....which could be a good thing...if you guys get what I'm trying to say.

He gets his mind blown every time he visits a school.

He's a good player, though. Would love to have him.
