Thanks for this. But I highly doubt the weather there is worse than it is here in South Bend. If it's as bad as you make it out to be, I'd doubt Dorial would want any part of snowy conditions wherever he chooses to go to school.

We all have our take. Fair enough...

Also, going to mention I am not saying it is worse here than other places. Just simply saying it is bad when the town says, " Man KC is suppose to get 20" of snow but no real concerns with ice. Not to mention streets are maintained for the next few days!"

Dorial is not going to be a concern late in the recruiting season with coming to SB for a late official if a big storm rolls through. Such as what happened recently. I am big on snow and travel to spend quality time in Colorado every winter. I still dread the winter here!

I understood your post from the start. I've been in Missouri when it's been 108 and I've been there when it was paralyzed from an ice storm almost a week earlier. I've seen grocoery stores when snow is forecast that look like they been looted by the mad dash for "milk and bread". It's not the hottest place nor the coldest place but it gets damn hot, damn cold, and is in tornado country. A kid from there is NOT going to intimidated by South Bends's weather like most kids from FL or SoCal.

Him and Spence are 1 and 2 for me.

Goldman and Marshall would be above Spence for me, but I think we have a much better shot with Spence than either of them. Schutt is up there too because of the need for a potentially dominate Nose.

I'd much prefer that the writers-that-be conjure a better comparison than Moss. Granted, Moss has enviable physical skills, but his character left/leaves much to be desired.

Lou wanted, courted and recruited him; but cooler, more objective heads in the admissions office prevailed. Hell, even Bobby Bowden and FSU told him to "hit the road, Jack."

While his time with the Vikings was marked with highlight worthy receptions, his behavior both off and on the field was less than stellar – or even admirable.

Had he found a way to sublimate his domineering ego, he may well have found himself on a level, both playing the game and hawking sneakers, with Michael Jordan.

Moss is a great comparison. Character never came into play. I would live to have the next Moss.

Don't get me wrong. I'd love a player with Randy's raw physical skills. I'd just prefer that a comparison be drawn to a player more aligned with an overall Notre Dame "skill" set.

Moss was a kid that needed ND more than ND needed Moss. I believe his character issues would have been dealt with at ND. Instead he was coddled to and the ego was fed.

There (sic) [they're] not comparing the players attitude, personality and whatnot they are comparing there (sic) [their] game.

There you go. One out of three – not bad.

Inference, intuition and insinuation are handy items to have in one's arsenal when interpreting posts here. Patience, understanding and forgiveness are helpful as well.

My apologies. I blame/credit those damn nuns constantly rapping my knuckles with wooden rulers when I was young.

We'll be the first team off of Dorial's list, anyway.

...Remember who I am.

DUDE! (place tard Diaco comment here) NO way we will lose this guy!

Sarcasm. Big 12 country folks. We have a battle here. I honestly think it is nothing more than what every school thinks going after the #1 recruit. I will wait till he narrows down to a final 5 and then get my hopes up or let them go. Oklahoma is my take as his number 1 right now but I actually feel close to home is something that will see itself out. His father will find a way to continue as a strong support for him no matter where he ends up. Coach will end up traveling many a many a miles to watch his son play. As long as DGB is making a future for himself on and off the field, his support is going to be there! This, my fellow Irish fans, is what keeps my hopes high. For now that is.

Get him on campus during a game-day weekend this fall and let the cards fall where they may!

Initial thoughts:

Final 5 will be Oklahoma, Missouri, Notre Dame, USC, and Texas.

Gonna be tough to pull this one off.

Kid that goes to school with him gave me a bit of inside scoop on him .. ITS MIAMI 100%.

Now that the bs is out of the way...

He said DGB is a quiet kid when it comes to his recruitment and he may or may not speak to reporters. As far as his classmates, not going to happen most likely. The kid went on to say DGB is a stand up guy and is always focused on the now. Not the future till it is necessary. It came across in a good way. Hate to say it but I think this is going to be a long time before we get a vibe on his thoughts. Of course that is unless a reporter is able to get in deep. We shall see.

P.S. - Do not start to hate on the damn Miami comment! Please... It is a forum folks.

.

And the classmates/teamates of Ishaq said that he was all PSU, just sayin'...

It's super early in the process and kids change their minds at the last minute every single year. Its a tad early to start the "I heard it from a reliable source, its over" bs.

If he's the the next big ticket, I wonder how closely the NCAA is following his recruitment?
