Howard likes several things about the Fighting Irish.

“Notre Dame, they have a great facility, good academics and I love the way they run their offense,” Howard said. “I look forward to taking a visit.”

“I am looking for a school with great academics that has great spirit,” Howard said. “That also puts the ball into their playmakers hands and that have a great coaching connection and chemistry to where they care about their players- that’s really what I am looking at the most.”

Howard currently is not limiting his choices to geographic boundaries.

“I am wide-open to going anywhere,” he said. “It’s just going to be based on the coaching connection and if the school can play their part. There are a lot of schools I am interested in. So I am going to take my official visits my senior year and decided from there.”

Geez! Edgewater is just down the street from my high school, Bishop Moore. I took Driver's Ed classes there summer of 1968. I had many teammates that attended Edgewater on both my Pony League baseball team and my AAU swim team.

Their football team regularly kicked our asses. Our swim team regularly kicked theirs. Especially in the boys 50 and 100 yard freestyle – my skinny-*** specialty.

Where was I? Oh ... commit to four years at ND and you won't be disappointed in the least.

Yes you continue to recruit him particularly since decommitments are so common today. Kelly;s Crew may get spurned at the 11th hour but unlike the Weis Team they won't be unprepared.


And as for being full at WR, ND just offered another WR yesterday.

According to ISD, Wednesday night Molnar spoke with WR Eugene Lewis about coming to ND camp to earn an offer.

And they continue to offer at other positions.

I won't hold my breath. We didn't even make his final 6, and what has really changed in the last month since he committed? His final 6 schools (and his commitment to Tennessee) also don't indicate much concern for academics either.

We weren't pushing for him. Howard was told that Martin doesn't care About height unlike Molnar. Kid has Darby like speed.

Also this is likely a sign that we don't have a realistic shot at Neal.

Article says that Martin wants athletes regardless of their size. Everett Golson anyone? With increased running ND could Possibly turn into Oregon on offense within the next few years.
