What the hell is Clemson selling?

Just watching college football live on ESPN and the analysts listed his top 10 WR recruits for this year.... Clemson has 3 out of top 5. Simple question: how?

Clemson is not SC, Bama or ND with it's history and it's not Florida or Texas with recent history either... but Clemson is not a bad program... 'nice' about covers Clemson to me... nothing jumps at you about them but on the flip side nothing jumps out at you about them... if you get what I'm saying...

They have Mike Bellamy (RB) and Clemson has had a decent run of running backs recently, so I see that one.

Lateek Townsend (LB) is from SC. Staying close to home.

Sammy Watkins (WR) is one that doesn't seem like a pipeline guy to Clemson, but maybe he saw their roster isn't loaded at wideout and sees the opportunity to play immediately for a pretty good program.

Just wait until they get Clowney. That's some star power for the orange and purple Tigers.

Clemson, SC is actually a pretty cool little college town. It's all Clemson University...a lot like "Notre Dame, Indiana." My cousin lives in Anderson, SC and he said that while it doesn't compare to Notre Dame, they have a pretty great little party going on down there in South Carolina.

Proximity. Just so happens a lot of WR talent is coming outta that region this year. Look at those guys and where their from. Their entire class is from 4 places: FL, SC, NC, VA with one guy from OH and a couple from GA. So if there is big talent from that area, Clemson is bound to get some.

And it's a pretty cool town.

Clemson has recruited quite well the last decade, with most classes inside the top 20 per Rivals, they just haven't been good at developing said talent (like another program I know that is happily turning a corner).
