He also said he wants to be a part of a top recruiting class.......Rutgers #39 - Notre Dame #4....tough decision but I guess he thinks he can pull a Ray Rice * 50 though there. All things aside I would love for him to reconsider and have the last two slots open for him and Savon...that's my final wish for this class.

I will laugh when Schiano takes another job.

Rutgers is one of those programs that would behoove Notre Dame by continuing to be bad. In the past New Jersey plays had no choice but to leave if they wanted to win, Rutgers becoming a viable option can only be a bad thing.

How about Notre Dame schedules them and stomps them into the ground every fall? I would like that rivalry to start tomorrow.

Sorry to bring this back up, I just get upset when we lose in Jersey and I think this is hilarious...

"Whats up Savon. I just wanted to let you know I'm going to Rutgers and you need to stop playing and come along too so we can do our Jersey thing and win a National Championship man. Lets go alright?"

A national championship? Really? Is that what they are selling? I'm sorry but I dont care if they get Savon or not, they have no offensive line and they wont get out of the basement of the Big East. They are terrible on defense and have no shot of winning a BIG EAST title, nevermind a national title.

LAST PLACE IN POST-SPRING BIG EAST POWER RANKS, go win that NC guys...

Hah. Last place in the worst BCS conference in football. And this is before TCU makes the Big East their stomping ground.

If somehow they got all 4 Don Bosco guys this year I could see them being very competitive in '13 though. That's a huge "if" and I find it unlikely.

While I don't doubt that TCU will win the BE, I don't think they'll always win it handily. Remember, most of these kids are from Texas and many aren't used to traveling north and having to play in snow and rain that they'll face in the northeast US.

Weather like snow or rain levels the playing field for most teams.

With the current climate in cfb I would expect TCU's stay in the Big East to be rather short... WOuldn't shock me to see them bolt in very short order actually, especially if the Big 12 holds together and comes calling in a few years

I don't think that Shuler and esp Huggins care a lick about a NC. If they did they wouldn't have gone to Rutgers. They are paying lip service to what the fans want to hear. H.S. athletes are getting more and more sophisticated in modern day propaganda; that is distraction from the truth. Huggins went to Rutgers in order to get his carries (playing time in an offense that will cater to him) to get to the NFL. Shuler will also be showcased. That and a couple of golden handshakes will get you 2-3 area athletes every year.

Please no more talk about how they think that they will contend. They don't and they won't.

Phil Steele does have Huggins on the BE 3rd team, so the argument that he just wanted the touches carries some weight.

Sanu is a legit WR for Rutgers, so it's possible Shuler will get there too and find his way to the NFL.

Nat'l 'Ship? Very unlikely. The closest they got was in 2006 (when a lot of crazy things happened like Wake Forest winning the ACC) where they lost an OT thriller to WVU and got creamed by Kelly's Cincy.

Mystery transfer? That would be hilarious. Doubt it though.

Will Huggins be playing "Follow the Leader" after being passed up by a walk-on???

Don't stick your nose up too high, that walk-on is no slouch so why pick on these kids. Heck what do you expect a 17 year old to say? This team sucks but I want to play in front of my friends and family so I am staying close to home. Besides, look at it this way, it does not appear that either of these two will meet prognosticators projections so we saved two scholarships to use on more talented players.

Also, you may not know this but Huggins had a bad knee injury I think in his freshman year that required major surgery.

Relax, brah.

Actually I am pretty relaxed. I wouldn't even have read this if I didn't live in NJ and was curious about what happened to Shuler. While I don't follow Rutgers it is hard to not know something about what is going on as the papers obviously cover them. I had not heard anything about Shuler recently and was curious what happened. In the past couple of years Rutgers has had some really good receivers and I was not surprised that Shuler could not get any meaningful minutes. After reading the posts I just think it is pretty immature to criticize what 17 year old kid says. Of course I am assuming that the individuals who posted these comments are older then 17, which may in fact not be correct.
