This is the one guy I've been worried about us landing from the start of his commitment.

It scares me when a kid commits on impulse within days after an official visit. I hope we hold on to this kid, he is an instant help on defense and with Nix hopefully ready to go along with the rest of what we have returning on defense we're really starting to get the personnel on this side of the ball we need to be competitive at the national level.

As I'm sure everyone remembers we've had troubles in the years past recruiting elite talent on defense (With the exception of Man'ti)

Let's hope we hold on to him and add another stud or two before signing day.

Not that I have any special powers, but I have a good feeling about Tuitt. I think he knows exactly where he fits with us and that his name will be a household name among ND fans across the country, while he gets a top notch education.

Don't talk like that.. I don't want to get all excited only to see it get flushed down the toilet and go into a massive eating depression.

Yikes, awful news...it has been slow the last couple of days, no ISD power hour, no II podcast...but now this. Hence the phrase, no news is good news!

There was power hour last night. This is just a rumor, which appears to be false. Stephon seems like the type of kid that is pretty honest. He would tell if he was visiting somewhere else.

Stephon has seemed pretty strong on his commitment, so I will keep faith he is staying. Further, if folks think that this whole Cam Newton business is over, they are sadly mistaken.
Auburn will get burned on this one. It is going to come out at a later date that there is fire with all this smoke. Even ESPN's talking heads said Cam dodged questions from Fowler in his interview this weekend.

If I was a recruit, I would be nervous as hell that I could get stuck in a Reggie Bush like probation.

Finally, as several folks have said, I hope that Oregon kicks their ***. I HATE cheaters and Auburn fits the mold.

Kids are still going to U$C, so who knows. Why does it seem to always be D-Line though? I'm pretty sure he sticks with his commitment anyway!

Speaking of that, why is that they already have 20 commits? I thought they could only handover 15,

This kid seems like he's legit on his verbal. Unless I hear confirmation other than from some random message board that he's going on a visit then I'm going to assume he's not.

I wonder why anyone would go to USC, but then I think back to how much of an idiot I was at 18. It has only gotten worse since that age.....
Seriously, how is Kiffin able to recruit into that train wreck? They are on probation, hell, they can't even beat lowly ND anymore!

Not to get off topic.....but USC is appealing the punishment(which won't be overturned imo)but has placed themselves on a 1 year bowl ban and a deduction of 5 scholarships. Also....some of their recruits are JC transfers and/or EE's that count towards last years class in which they only took 19 players(1 of which is already off the team). They are going to need all the depth they can get in the upcoming years so expect them to sign around 30 players for this 2011 class.

I know a lot of you guys think it's weird to follow players on FB or whatever....but you generally get good little tidbits of info like I just got.
On Tuitt's FB about an hour ago he wrote how much he can't wait to play on NBC all season next year.Take it for what you will....but there's only 1 team I know of w/ an NBC deal....

Following recruiting is like watching your wife be pregnant for 9 months then the baby comes out with no arms. It's tough to watch.

Any confirmation one way or another whether the rumors of an Auburn visit was happening. Really want this kid on board, not just for his play but also he seems like a high character guy.

Both Tuitt and Ishaq seem like good gentlemen!!

This is a kid we have to keep for sure. I would be elated if Williams joins the mix too because I really think these two kids have a special gift that would make us a better football team. Both kids seem like fine young men and that is the kind of kid you want playing at ND.

We need to get after the quarterback next year a lot better and these are definitely two guys who may be able to help with that. College football, much like the NFL, is becoming QB dominant and if you can take that aspect away from an offense it really limits their output.

Our depth is instantly improved on the D Line with these guys, especially with Williams wanting to enroll early, which could really improve his stock to get on the field as a freshmen. We ink him and we really got some scary depth next year at our drop linebacker with Fleming, Shembo, and then Williams (if his inked!!)

For some reason, I'm not overly too concerned about him jumping ship.
