we have 19 in the books (fingers crossed). and everyone knows how complicated the 5th year process is. if you and you alone had to power to choose or convince 3 and only 3 more to come to nd for the 2011 recruiting class who would you choose? and every one dont talk your self outta it or waiver make a choice and stick to your guns.

Yes Lyons is still considering us and he would be the best out of the six if he were to commit.

Brennan Scarlett
Ishaq Williams
Amir Carlisle

Those are the three best fit guys on our board (excluding Lyons) and in my heart I think we get Carlisle and Williams. Shane Ray will probably be who we get but Scarlett is a very real possibility.

I think we have a great shot at landing Amir Carlisle after his visit this weekend. I think we also have a very good chance at landing Ishaq when he announces at the all star game.

My wish list and actual list are different. I think we have no shot at landing Wayne Lyons at this point.

My list is Ishaq, Ishaq, and more Ishaq.

If I actually have to pick three, then Ishaq, Huggins and Niklas. Three positions of need.

I know another poster said something like this, but it is so true and bears repeating. Every time I look more into Amir Carlisle he comes closer and closer to being a "must get" type player. The kid has all of the skills you need for a spread offense and can be a playmaker anywhere you put him in the offense.

Do you know why Oregon is so good? It is because they don't just have one fast guy, they have like 10 they can throw anywhere on the field and make you defend them. That is the point we want to get to but with more passing and less running. Players like Amir help us get there.

amir is a guy that is not too vocal has solid class a good faith and really fast... He would get Notre Dame... Savon is very talented but i personally think this guy is more of a fit he is not waiting until NSD to commit and not talking at every possible second

Biggest cause for concern

Biggest cause for concern

He has faced very little top competition. Carlisle's school (King's Academy) plays in a very weak league, probably the weakest league in area. That said, from what I have seen of him (two games) he appears to have the skill set a spread offense RB needs, he can run and catch, and he is very quick.

For me
1. Ishaq Williams- need a pure freak athlete on defense.
2. Troy Niklas- once we find his position will be a rock.
3. Miles Shuler- you cant go wrong with athletes offense, defense, special teams. kid can do it all.

we do have alot of potential wr. on the roster already the only position on offense were alil light is rb. and o-line. but i still believe we seal the deal with defense with this recruiting year.

Well if I could chose any three players on the board with an offer: Williams, Drew, Huggins

Obviously we have no shot with Drew, but he does have an offer and showed some interest in us at one point in time.

Lemming says Huggins is THE offensive player - I aways loved Ishaq (Even when he wasn't popular. I think someone called him a "project.") - but you know this class is going to swell. Maybe 25.

Lemming seemed to believe that 28 or 29 wasn't out of the question with early enrolees. (Yes if you don't offer many fifth years, have some attrition, and if you count three early enrolees toward this year, it works.)

28 or 29?? Even if it's 25, then the offer to the long snapper makes sense. Hope Kelly's crystal ball is clear [and somehow includes Floyd &/or Rudolph returning --- although if TJ and Theo are healthy and Atkinson and Daniels are anything near what they seem, we can survive Mike going pro]. [Come to think of it, if Eifert is the deep good-hands threat he seems to be, and if Welch and Koyack are anywhere near what they seem to be, we can survive Kyle going pro, too]. Heck, lets sign a bunch more up!! "Picking three" is too hard anyway.

The offer to the long snapper makes me scratch my head...there is definitly something we do not know here (as fans with no ins to the program...of course we dont know whats going on!)

We will sign more then 22 (3 more). I am guessing 24 (5 more).

But for the sake of not ruining this game...

Top 3:
IShaq
Chickillo
Niklas
