found this on another site...thought it was funny: If we beat usc and win our bowl game you can bet your bottom dollar that Notre Dame will get a bunch guys that have more stars than the whole night sky. But in the mean time let me congratulate Michigan’s newest commit. Next September Manti Teo will personally congratulate him in person!.

I'm a bit surprised that Justice Hayes would choose Michigan of all schools when they already have the #1 ranked APB Demetrius Hart (according to Rivals). This isn't a team that gives their RBs a whole lot of touches either.

From everything I read on his twitter page, he was a little full of himself too. Doesn't seem like a RKG for Notre Dame's program. I'm looking forward to seeing ND's defense face him in the future.

I thought the same thing. Rest assured they are switching him to DB the moment he signs his LOI. Just a hunch, but I think there is a 50% chance he ends up at Tenn when all is said and done.

My itch tells me that there is something going on here on the Notre Dame side that we don't know about and that scared him off. It would be lovely if that were Huggins or some similarly superstar back. Maybe we have a "silent commit" [groan] and our coach was "frank" to him about it [as Hayes once said himself]. Purely BS on my part, but it would explain a lot of things.

Good Lord. It's possible to vent w/o calling the kid a "douche","punk","bitch",etc.

You are correct in a sense. It is possible to do that.
But when a kid is this big of a PUNK, it warrants worse.
Did you read the article? That's not something that someone made up...that came from the kid's mouth!!!
I can't believe people could still defend him.Unbelievable.

Justice:

“I just wanted to go there to see how my team was doing and watch the game. Something happened with the coaching staff. Nothing bad, but I just noticed I didn't get the attention I was looking for. Me and my family felt very uncomfortable.”

Firstly he wasn't on a offical visit and secondly they came late! What did he want? All of the coaching staff to stop the game just to turn around and wave to him and say "Hello Hayes and Family?" Sounded a little bit needie..

South Bend Tribune: Notre Dame football: Irish QB Rees not awed by the Coliseum

I'm SOOOOOOOO glad this kid decommitted.
This kid is a little prima donna punk, and has no business stepping foot on our beautiful campus, or having the honor of wearing our gold and blue.
Have fun with DickRod and the sanctions Justice....

If that's the worst that came out of his mouth then you sir, need to find a better hobby. He's 17 and didn't get the love he wanted, big deal. He's going to be losing to ND the next 4 years anyway so why the namecalling?

I'm in agreement that these are kids and that they should be given certain exception when dealing with OUR frustrations regarding THIER decisions about THEIR lives, but come on! "I didn't get the attention I was looking for"? Really? That is really terrible, regardless of age. scUM can have him. Enjoy your new prima donna CB.

Agreed, and it's been taken care of. He won't be posting here any longer if he continues to write those types of things.

He posted on his facebook a comment about feeling more comfortable staying home and that was his biggest reason. Also he posted a pic of him with a Michigan hat on backwards with "J. Hayes" embroidered. The funniest thing was that someone posted a comment along the lines of "so thats why you decommited from ND and chose U of M? All because they made you a had an we wouldn't?"

IDK man,

Maybe they opt to let Rich Rod go and Harbaugh doesn't want the job.

Then who do they pick up? Mike Leach? Friedgen?

In the case they let him go and Harbaugh doesn't want the job, we are made.

Something happened...and it wouldn't surprise me at all if ND stopped recruiting him hard, stopped showing him love, or maybe he just wasn't feeling ND, or whatever. Bottom line is...he's not coming to ND, and I'm not going to waste a single minute more thinking about him, and I'm certainly not going to rip him or say 'I told you so'. Because let's be honest...after going 3-9, 6-6 and 6-6, a lot of fans have been saying the exact same thing about kids that sign here.

Good luck Justice...you made your choice and I hope you take advantage of UM's fine academics as opposed to taking the easy way out like many of their players...

UM fans have this constant cliche when they talk about who they want for their next head coach...it's called "Michigan Man." Apparently coaches have to be "Michigan Men" to qualify for the job in the fans eye. I don't know exactly what the h### that means but I think it's either ties to the program (i.e. former assistant or player) or a certain style of coaching that fits the "Michigan Man" mantra. Les Miles is and almost got the job, RR isn't and he was never accepted there. I believe it was Bo Schembecler (I have no idea how to spell his name) that coined the term but it's funny b/c he came from Ohio!

To answer your question; if RR is gone and JH doesn't take the job, it will be Brady Hoke, he's the hot name in coaching right now and is a "Michigan Man" which I think the influential alumni are desperate to get back to.

I agree LA. We've got to stop treating these 18-year-old kids like they are dirt. He's battling a big decision without a crystal ball, and seems to be trying to choose conservatively. This would mean that he, like most kids, lacks some confidence. Well, OK, let's let him go his way and grow into a man. I might note that we've gotten a better back, and a more versatile one, since [Cam McDaniel]. Without Hayes' decommit we might not have even looked that way. We should be thanking Justice not mocking him.
