He's completely dropped off of the map these last three weeks.
And how about Rudolph? 2 catches for 3 yards in the past 2 weeks?
And... the digs have started only an hour later than they would have if we would have lost...
A few throws downfield might help. BC's defense kept getting closer and closer and stacking the box which killed our running game in the second half. The strategy appears to double Floyd and Rudolph; we really need Jones, Theo and Goodman to go on a few deep moves as they are single covered almost all the time.
Crist also needs to develop at least some touch on his short passes. It is a lot to expect the receivers to catch a fast ball at ten yards.
Years ago the Bears had a QB named Bobby Douglass who could throw the ball 80 yards; unfortunately he used the same velocity on five yard passes. Chris reminds me of him, although Douglass was a great runner.
Teams figured out he was "the guy" and focused on him. Crist has not handled that well at all.
I tend to be in a variety of a school-of-thought like Irish.Ca about this. I think that a). Goodman is getting more snaps, and that's a good thing because he's a contributor; b) Crist is a nervous QB who needs "security blanket" receivers at this stage in his career [wasn't Goodman one of the guys who worked out with him in California?]; c). TJs routes seem often a bit longer and wider than anyone else's, and Riddick reaps more benefit for a "short-route-focussed" Crist than TJ does. I am a BIG TJ fan and think that he and Riddick are going to be serious trouble for opponents for years. [Maybe even serious trouble for PT for Jackson, Atkinson, and Daniels---but the competition should be magnificent].

Now that we have Daniels, I'd like George Atkinson to play safety. We need the depth.
Just get the ball in his hands....

I'm literally speechless after watching that. He is AMAZING! Not only does he possess that coveted speed, but he can really break some tackles. I'm convinced..., he needs to be on offense. LOL.
