Utah at 10... wow. Do they play TCU before or after us? And Oklahoma at 6 is LAUGHABLE.

tOSU is lucky they played their best game in years in last year's Rose Bowl and that Oregon fumbled away many great opportunities in that game...

b/c even with that memory it is hard to figure how anyone thinks they are in Oregon's class right now... let alone better... last year's RB seems to be screwing with people's vote a bit too much imo

Wow, lots of PA guys. I live in Clearfield County.

I actually use to live in Minnesota and my dad still lives there. So I visit him a lot and spend a lot of time there.

Conference breakdown:
SEC 6
Big Ten 5
Big 12 4
Pac 10 3
Mnt Wst 3
WAC 2
ACC 2
Big East 0

And the Big East gets a BCS bid - yeah, that makes sense.

the SEC does not have that many teams that are top 25 caliber either... that's obvious perception trumping reality right there

Maybe Dame should join just to run the table and get the automatic bid every year...

Agree completely. I thought Ohio St was going to be awarded this year's national championship after last year's Rose Bowl the way everyone was fawning over them.

I really hope they slip up this year so I don't have to watch them sneak into the championship game and then get obliterated again.

when they snuck in before the Big Ten was horrible... it was a one team conference... this year it is really strong... I'd actually take the depth of the Big 10 over a certain overrrated conference that begins with the letters SEC

I highly doubt the bucks can get through it without a loss and no big 10 team is making the title game with a loss this year, simply b/c so many voters still think this is 2006 and the Big 10 sucks...

I still can't believe that Oregon came back vs Stanford, wish I'd caught the game.

MWC took the 2 WAC top 25 teams, and they lose Utah so the MWC would have 4 right now... Give the MWC an auto bid and take away big east

1. SEC (by default)
2A. Pac-10 (people need to stop sleeping on the conference already)
2B. Big 10 (very strong throughout)

the rest

The thing is... if the Big East gets a C for strength of conference... the ACC gets a C+ or B- at best. That conference is absolute trash for the most part. They get a lot of credit for the big names (e.g. Miami, FSU, VT, GT) but there is not one team in that conference that is actually a contender.
