Big game for the Irish tonight.

Anybody living in Indy watching the game anywhere?

I can't wait for this. What time is the game? They looked a little slow to start last night and could not get the IU rebounds. That half court alley was DOME-ination.

Does anyone know how we match up against Texas. I know that they are ranked 6th in the nation.

They are hands down the most athletic team in the Big XII and probably the best back court. Dexter Pittman is a load in the middle. A.J. Abrams is a stat stuffer supreme and will create havoc. Abrams averages 18 ppg and will shoot from practically anywhere. His cohort, Damion James is very athletic and puts up similar numbers. Conner Atchley is a good low block guy, can pass out of the post, and can draw a double team here and there. Basically, Texas goes how Abrams goes.

I think we match up very well and this is going to be a fun game to watch. Pittman is a big man, but I am confident that Luke can handle him. Luke only seems to struggle against the really tall 7+ foot guys, like Thabeet from UConn. Luke will win this matchup. Tory Jackson will need to continue to make smart decisions and be a great all around player (scoring, passing and rebounding), which I believe he will. This game will come down, in my opinion, to the matchup of McAlarney vs Abrams. Both guys will shoot from anywhere on the court and can hit from anywhere. It will come down to which of these guys takes better and smarter shots and which one actually decides to play some defense against the other. Whoever wins this battle will win the game in my opinion. Come on Kyle...carry over that momentum from yesterday.

I think this is a great matchup as well, and will be a measuring stick for our team. This is a regional semifinal/final type of matchup. It will tell us how good we are. Texas' athleticism scares me, but if we play our game, we will have the chance to win it at the end.

I can't believe how well ND is playing. Team ball is something I haven't seen in awhile and they're handling the pressure pretty dang well! It's nice to refresh my palate of stale ND football. Anybody concur?

Yeah baby. This was a GREAT win by the Irish. This one was HUGE. Shows me alot about this team.

What a great win. We are ranked 8th but I have the feeling that everyone, including our own fans, is questioning just how good we are. Well I think this game answers that question, because Texas is the real deal, and apparently, so are we.

I think it will be fun to watch them go up against UNC. Clearly UNC is the best team in the country, so we really have nothing to lose.

I also think it will be fun to watch them play for a championship. I know the real one is in March, but when was the last time an ND basketball team played for any type of championship?

We need to make those free throws. We would've won by 10 if we could have made them. How many bricks on a one and one did we have? Too many, But why the hell am I complaining, we won!

That seems like the first time I have seen an Irish athletic team hold a lead throughout the entire game and close a game out (albeit very ugly). I can proudly say this is a basketball school now (along with a Womans sports school).
