He has no help. He doesn't have Toby Gerhart running the ball for him and more importantly their defense is going to suck. If we can keep the passing game contained, we roll in this one.

They are showing last years season finale at Stanford on ESPNU. Sort of makes me sick.

Gerhart is a great running back. But I think I could have ran through the holes he was getting against ND's defense.

They don't show games like the 2006 Michigan-Ohio State game or say any of the other important contests. And naturally they only show Big Ten victories if they are OOC games.

Starting TE caught a pass on the second play of the game. Took a helmet to the knee and limped off with torn ACL - gone for the season. Konrad Reuland will likely replace Toilolo.

How do we think we do against Stanford after the seeing the Michigan State game? I think we will be competitive and it will come down to turnovers. We are improving each week and that improvement will show some time with wins. Hopefully they can win and go on a streak. I'm keeping my head up and hoping for a positive outcome.

I think we likely lose by ~10. Something like 38-28. I think Stanford's offense is too good and too mature. I do think we beat BC and Pitt though. Handily.

I agree. Stanford is one very good football team and I cannot see ND beating them. They may be the best we will face all year. BC is ok but very beatable. Pitt is a step above them but, again a beatable team.

maybe i am just trying to be optimistic here but look at who Standford has played.

Sacramento St. D II- not worth noting anything special because they should have beat them 52-17

UCLA- they are on a very down year, and the only win they have is against a Houston team that lost its starting QB and backup QB. 35-0

Wake Forest-they were 2-0 but they beat a DII team and a Duke team that still isn't very good, and they probably won't be that good either. 68-24

i don't think i am stretching too far to say that they haven't done anything too spectacular to warrant all the praise.

they are very talented and of course i could see ND losing this game but i can also see ND winning this game.

i always have confidence in ND especially when they play at home, anything can happen and every week i see an improvement in different areas. one game it will all mesh together and they will have their coming out party. hopefully it's this game

It's because we are the home team. The home team typically gets a 3 point spot. If we were at Stanford, you'd be right on with the -6.5.
