Same and same. How I explain it, as someone who grew up outside Utah and now lives here is, "people from Utah don't get out much."

No purring....I poked it to make sure. There was some sort of sauce and was absolutely nasty, but I was hungry so I pinched my nose and swallowed....gut said otherwise.Did that ham happen to purr or growl when you bit into it?
Going back to the start of 2023 they are 4-6 against ranked opponents. The four wins include two whatever bowl games against teams ranked in the 20s, Kansas State in 2024, and a three-point win over Utah last year. The six losses include every actually good team they have played.I’m so glad the rest of you are getting exposure to the BYU fanbase. This is not just bluster, they legitimately believe they are a good 2-3 team in CFB because of their record the last 2-3 years.
I get what you’re saying but I think our talent level in 2017-2021 was a notch or two above BYU’s. They are nowhere near a four-team playoff that we made twice and were last team out of a third time. They are who ND was under Kelly (post 2016, which never actually happened we all just dreamt it)
Very good football program with a salty defense against okayish competition but it’s pretty obvious they’re a tier or two lower when they step up and play teams that have legit elite talent
Yeah, those teams put a decent amount of talent into the League, which I don't foresee these BYU teams doing to the same level. Also, Ian Book >>>>> Bear Bachmeier.I get what you’re saying but I think our talent level in 2017-2021 was a notch or two above BYU’s. At the start of this season there were 12 former BYU players on NFL rosters. There were 47 from Notre Dame.Yeah, those teams put a decent amount of talent into the League, which I don't foresee these BYU teams doing to the same level. Also, Ian Book >>>>> Bear Bachmeier.
Yeah I didn’t really compare rosters at all, mainly just national perception and actual results.I get what you’re saying but I think our talent level in 2017-2021 was a notch or two above BYU’s. They are nowhere near a four-team playoff that we made twice and were last team out of a third time.
Tell them this and they'll appeal to "conference wins." And I don't necessarily knock them for their schedules, I get they play in the B12, but they don't dominate the weak teams in there. Last year, I had no problems admitting TTU earned a playoff spot, they played a weak schedule but they trucked everyone on it (including BYU, twice), but BYU doesn't do anything for me. They don't have hard schedules, they don't have a ton of composite talent, they don't pass the eye test, they're not elite on either side of the ball or even at any one position group. They are a hardnosed, well coached team. They will not roll over and die for ND and they will fight to the final whistle, but truly if we lose to them then we are not who we thought we are. They ended 2025 power rated around 20 and 2024 around 25. The record is a product of easy schedules and close wins
Wisconsin and North Carolina didn't roll over and die either. And they have more talented rosters than BYU does. If we are the team we all think we are, I expect this game will go similarly to those. Close for a half, though never really in doubt, before our superior depth and talent pulls away.Tell them this and they'll appeal to "conference wins." You care enough to post your opinion, and I care enough to post mine. That’s generally how message boards work. The game is in 9 days. I care, as before, you don’t have to!
I didn’t post an opinion, I posted an injury report from the coaching staff. You care enough to post your opinion, and I care enough to post mine. That’s generally how message boards work.
Oh, I understand now. You posted the injury report strictly as a public service and certainly weren’t interested in anyone discussing it.I didn’t post an opinion, I posted an injury report from the coaching staff.
I’ll keep both your invaluable opinions in mind though.

Actually crazy, SP+ projects it closer than that + it's on the road. Vegas is not buying whatever the Cougars are selling. I wonder how much injuries are a factor. The line is at 13.5 on FanDuel right now.
I’ve watched TCU several times this year and I feel like people are giving them too much credit for their name. That looks like a bad team and BYU looked to be about equal in that game. This reminds me of the last time we played BYU
Good call...typically you don't see lines move too much unless it's a QB. I was surprised it was that high too.Actually crazy, SP+ projects it closer than that + it's on the road. Vegas is not buying whatever the Cougars are selling. I wonder how much injuries are a factor.
All the makings of a Bowen and Shuler legacy game right? Like say what you want about him as a passer but you need to HIT Bear to tackle him. Like true strap up your helmet. He’s a fullback.
I knew DokterEntropy was high on ND but 16.5 point favorites over BYU??
