I typo'd it on my phone somehow, it was to say that it's MORE indicative.Could you say that differently?

FIFYISD been mega downers, like usual.

The "2" are obviously both DTs. I mean, you know....The vaunted 2-3-6 defense. Two ends, 3 backers, and everyone else on the team in the secondary. I love it.

The dt position is so 2025. 2026 is the year of excessive dbs.The "2" are obviously both DTs. I mean, you know....
In the midst of all this, anyone curious how Brendan Vernon and Devon Houston are still on the ND roster?
Sticking around for the degree? They probably know they arent NFL bound so just get the best degree. In the midst of all this, anyone curious how Brendan Vernon and Devon Houston are still on the ND roster?
It’s a 105(+) roster

No longer public...need ND loginI think it will be one per day as far as announcements go. But there’s always the student directory. Any volunteers?
They're not going to kick them off the team. I'm sure they're valuable practice players and probably good citizens. Maybe one/both could even be a contributor for us next season. In the midst of all this, anyone curious how Brendan Vernon and Devon Houston are still on the ND roster?
But why be here unless they just really like the degree, which is possible? I'm looking at it from their perspective not ND's.
The 2-8 defense? So it was you calling the D on the last play of the game against pOSU in South Bend a couple yrs ago?LB's are not basically the build of SS
SS are not the build of old FS's
FS are now punters
I'm all in for the 2-8 defense
If my son were a scholarship football player at Notre Dame, with no NFL prospects, I would strongly encourage him to stay at least until he graduated, vs. transferring to, I dunno, Bowling Green, just so he could play on Saturdays. Bowling Green will still be there when he has his degree. But why be here unless they just really like the degree, which is possible? I'm looking at it from their perspective not ND's.

Moore is NOT playing Nickle. If so, Mickens lost his fuckin' mind. They can’t land Sanders and McKinney without someone (Sanders, McKinney, Moore, Gray) being told they are playing nickel. I just don’t see it though in any of them.
There has long been talk that Porter would require an undisclosed surgical procedure in the winter / spring. This isn't new...Freeman embarrassed him, and every other beat guy, when they were claiming Minchey was QB1. Now he has to shit on every portal addition ND gets. But Cincinnati had a GREAT portal season!
My take is that both want their degrees. From everything I've heard, neither has a serious chance of playing professional football. Both are probably getting bare minimum (if anhthing) in Rev Share, while ND honors their scholarships and let's them be ND students. They're essentially glorified walk-ons at this point. As long as both are good teammates, they're not hurting anyone. In the midst of all this, anyone curious how Brendan Vernon and Devon Houston are still on the ND roster?
If only my NetID still worked.I think it will be one per day as far as announcements go. But there’s always the student directory. Any volunteers?
Yeah, maybe Partridge can get something out of them. Sometimes a different coach really helps. They're not going to kick them off the team. I'm sure they're valuable practice players and probably good citizens. Maybe one/both could even be a contributor for us next season.

I actually might argue the inverse, some players know they may never sniff the NFL, so they are trying to maximize their NIL right now to get a head start on life. If you can get another half-million or million over your NIL career, that's a big difference if you're smart (that's asking a lot of these kids and their uncles though). The reality is an overwhelming majority of college football players will never sniff the NFL. The smart kids are still trying to get the best degree they can even if means passing up $50K a year in NIL, which is what most kids are getting.
I feel like a lot of beat writers are just upset that information is not flowing like normal. That is the "vibe" that I am getting from the ND writers this past week.ISD been mega downers lately.. yeesh
